Wife and I were returning to Philly from 2 weeks in Germany and Czech Republic, and we always stay at the Steigenberger to be close to the airport. We had a bad experience staying at the Ibis, cheaper but further away from the airport, in that their shuttle service had inadequate capacity to get us to the airport without waiting for an hour. This was totally unacceptable for an airport hotel. The Steigenberger has a big bus that ferries guests to Terminal 1 every 15 minutes for drop off or pick-up. The Steigenberger is a great value if you want to spend your last night close to the airport and be assured of adequate and frequent shuttle service. The restaurant and bar are pricey if you are not on an expense account and paying out of pocket, but there is a mini-market in the parking garage next door where you can purchase beer, wine, and snacks inexpensively.

Our standard room had an ordinary wooden door interconnecting with the room next door. The people next door were talking loudly and animatedly into the wee small hours of the morning. After a 22 hour flight we could not get to sleep. Complained a few times and someone was supposed to come up and address the issue. Complained in person at the reception desk and we got a new room. Problem solved. Good airport hotel but standard rooms might have this problem. We ended up in a superior room and they are much better. The hotel breakfast is absolutely fantastic. Have never seen such variety and quality.

I had to spend one night in Frankfurt due to a cancelled flight, and I was happy that the Steigenberger Airport hotel was able to accommodate me. The shuttle bus arrived promptly, I arrived in minutes to the hotel and the check-in process was quick and courteous. They even upgraded my room at no extra charge. My accommodations were clean, comfortable and very quiet considering the very close proximity to the airport. Although the food was very good, I think that the cost was on the high side. The buffet breakfast was 25 euros, and in my opinion, not worth that. For those on a tight budget, there is a small store at a service station next door where you can purchase food at a much lower price. I would not hesitate to stay here again should the need arise, and was very pleased with the hotel.

Watch out - this is a nice hotel with a great location and good service in all respects but one. The Breakfast is a total ripoff and you have no other options if you want to eat before leaving. They don't have the price listed anywhere so you have to ask - * Euro's per person. That was * for two when we stayed there. Yes it's a nice breakfast but come on - we hit 7 countries and stayed in a lot of hotels and none of them ripped you off like this place did for breakfast. Better to wait and eat somewhere else along the way.

We appreciate the assistance in helping us to obtain long term parking in your garage. The hotel staff and garage attendant was most helpful. We enjoyed our stay before our flight in this hotel greatly over the Sheraton Airport hotel. Thank you

This hotel, priced at about the same as a hotel I stayed at farther from the airport, is a great deal. On my first stay, they bumped me up to a room in their new Executive Tower, which was designer decorated and very large, with a view of the forest. On my second stay, I was in one of their standard rooms, which was fine, but next time I'll pay the extra for one in the tower. The pool is amazing, with buttons around the edge controlling various waterfall and jet features, plus it's kept at a comfortable temperature. The buffet breakfast, at the same price as the other hotel I stayed at, is vastly superior -- a veritable feast, with a vast array of choices of high quality, freshly-cooked food. The shuttle for the 5 minute ride to the airport is a full-sized bus that makes its rounds to the airport every 15 minutes. There's a direct-connect intercom button at the terminal C waiting area if you want to check when the next bus is coming. Book early and it will be worth the trouble.

It was extremely hot and humid the day/night we stayed here. The a/c DID NOT work. We asked for it to be repaired 3 times with no response. We finally had to open the window for a small humid breez. I would stay there again as long as everything works.

The hotel is right next to a green forest which is great for running, walking, and overall an awesome experience. The hotel also has a great pool and a gym.

Really nice hotel. Very close to the airport with frequent shuttle service. Modern clean sleeping rooms and excellent restaurants onsite.

Stayed the last night in Germany. Rooms are nice and quiet. Shuttle to airport is excellent. Two things are needed. First, a hotel that attempts to service Americans should have an ice machine someplace. The desk referred me to the bar to get a glass of ice. Second, the wireless signal in our room was very weak (1 bar)and I could not connect. The hotel refused to loan a cable to connect, but would sell me one. Wireless service should be free at the price they charged (now charges 3 euro for 1/2 hr).

For an airport stay it was perfect. All you need to make sure you are on time to an early flight. Free transport to from and to the airport. I got a free room upgrade.

The hotel was clean and pretty, the shuttle to the airport was extremely convenient, and my room was very nice. The only improvements I'd suggest are:(1) WiFi access is very expensive, 15 or 20/day, and at a hotel of this price/quality it should be included; and (2) They do not have power adapters for loan, and charge 15 for one, and the rounded plugs in Germany render square adapters that work in the rest of Europe useless. It would be nice if they had built in adapters like many other business class hotels do for razors in the bathroom, or would loan them.

I stayed at this hotel only as a quick stopover because I had an early flight out of FRA the next morning. It was gorgeous, comfortable, and clean. Only a couple of negatives: the fitness center closed around 10:30pm, and the WiFi was not free of charge. Otherwise, a great stay.
