The hotel was very nice and perfect for our children. Our 6 year old loved the pool and couldn't get enough of the nice hot tub!

So many things were broken in the room and the mattress had a huge bulge in it. The outlets were open here and there. The service at the pool was bad and the satff overal was not very helpful. This is suppose to be a five star resort - don't bother. You would be better off at the Fairfiled in or renting a condo somewhere else.

Great Hotel. Would recommend to anyone, especially during ski season, perfect location.

First of all the scenery is so beautiful on the way up there. The hotel has a parking lot so you dont have to worry about having to scrape snow off in the morning from your rental. The rooms are awesome. We had one with a little kitchen, dining room area and living room with a fireplace, and double beds,it has such a cozy modern look. There were two restrooms and showers available so that was a big plus. There is so much to do, even if it is snowing outside the pool is heated its, pretty neat seeing snow drop while your in the heated pool and still comfortable. We also did the sleigh ride which was available right as soon as you step outside the building. Pretty much everything is within walking distance. I thought the best part was the tubing , I was scared at first but it was so much fun. My kids loved it, we were actually there durung the blizzard but it was not even a problem, at least not for us because the snow plows clean everything up and luckily we were not flying out at the time. I would love to go back again. One thing I did notice is that the ski clothes is cheaper there than in Houston which is where I live, I wish I would have waited and bought my stuff out there but who would have known.

We were not told parking was 20.00 a day more. All in all we had a great time.

The hotel is well located for the main gondola during ski season and for local pubs and cafe all year round.

Being an retired head of housekeeping for some of Aspens best hotel/condos. its hard to please me. I WAS VERY happy from the first step in the door - Wonderful rooms, fireplace, kitchen, views -to the last step to go home. We loved the place. It was off season, so it was very quite there. Dinning was a little thin on choices, most of everything was closed.

The hotel was beautiful and well situated in the ski village. Our room was clean with a kitchenette and the bathroom was large with nicer fixtures. We enjoyed the delicious complimentary breakfast buffet both mornings. The staff was friendly, however the concierge did not seem as knowledgeable as we expected. When we asked about dining options on our way out, she referred us to the dining guide in our room instead of simply telling us herself. Perhaps she should have a copy at her desk just in case. Also, she did not give specific directions as to how to get to the two events we were planning on attending. The pool and hot tubs were very nice. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

I visited in the shoulder season, so the hotel was an amazing value for a huge, beautiful suite. Pool area is gorgeous, and the view from the room was nice. Staff suffered from indifference. Person at concierge desk didn't seem to know where anything in town was, and even once told us to go see if the front desk to see if they had a map (I thought that was what the concierge did). Pool was closed without notice for an entire day because of some problem, so we called twice to check on progress for its opening. The second time we called the exasperated front desk person told us she didn't know if it was open (didn't volunteer to check), and if it was so important for us to swim, we should go downtown. Hot food items (pancakes/waffles/potatoes/bacon) in the included breakfast buffet in The Cabin restaurant were awful 2 of 3 times, and OK the third. I think there was not enough volume to keep the food turning over, but they should cook to order if that's the problem. I didn't spend much because of the time of year, so I got over these things, but had I paid regular price, I would have been pretty angry. On the up side, the place was spotless, furniture and beds were outstanding, and most of the staff pleasant and helpful.

The Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel was a fabulous place to stay! My friend couldn't stop commenting on how big the bathroom was, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The front desk was extremely helpful during check in and several other times when we stopped by to ask for directions or a recommendation on a place to eat. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to a friend and I will be staying there again!

The Steamboat Grand Resort and Conference Center is a great value offseason. Though the main restaurant was closed, a small cafe was still open and offered pub fare. The pool and humongous hot tub were lovely. Our room was a good value offseason, but in high season would be overpriced for the level of amenities and comfort given. The beds were comfortable, but there was not much additional seating and the desk was small. Also there was no refrigerator. The location was great--not far from good restaurants in town. Public areas in the hotel were rustic and very western in decor.
