The Staybridge is a wonderful hotel perfectly situated on E. Bay street. Just a short walk across the street and down the steps to Factor's Walk and River Street along the Savannah River. It's quite 'touristy' down there, but a wonderful atmosphere of shops, dining and 'people watching'. Plus there are stops for the city wide Trolley. You're also close to everything in the central city area to your south. It was very rainy when we were there, but I really apprecitated the valet service to park and retrieve your car. It's $12 per night, plus a tip if you wish, but well worth it. Parking could be a nightmare downtown. We also had our 13 year old Lab with us, and the pet service was also wonderful. They even had dog biscuits on the front desk! Plus, you only have to walk across the street to a park for your pet's convenience. The walk through the hotel lobby from the elevator to the front door was always interesting, with hotel guest always stopping you to inquire about your pet and to 'give a little love' to your pet. The friendlyness of all the staff, and even the guests at this wonderful hotel was unbelievable. Just curl up in the lobby with a good book, and you'll have stimulating conversations with fellow travelers who also love this downtown gem. Also, if you're a Priority Club member, remember to give them your card when you check in.

Great happy hour. Great location. Friendly staff. Enjoyed every minute.

My biggest complaint about this hotel is that the carpets were dirty. In the elevator, filthy. In the room, dirty, especially leading from the bathroom to the room. Everyday the cleaning crew sprinkled room deodorizer on the carpet before vacuuming up, leaving the room with a heavy perfumy smell and white dust on the wood moldings and window sills. I wondered if they had ever been steam cleaned properly. If you didn't look at the floors, or carpets, the hotel was actually nice looking. It's a historic building a block from the river. The hot breakfast was a plus, espcially for saving time in the morning or for additional savings. I didn't find the hotel staff overly hospitable or even friendly. I'd never stay here again, I've never stayed at a Staybridge Suites before, so I cannot say if this was what they are all like, or this one didn't meet company standards.

This hotel is in a great location, easy for exploring the historic district, shopping, and restaurants. Staff were wonderful -- friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Breakfast buffet was a treat, and the midweek happy hour receptions were a delightful surprise. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Definitely a good choice and a good value!

The room could of used one comfortable chair. Other than that it was great. The location of the hotel for touring the historic district was great. The staff was WONDERFUL. Christina was absolutely wonderful is making suggestions for places to visit and eat. The breakfast and sun down celebration was really very nice.

The hotel was conveniently located to everything. We walked to the restaurants and Riverfront just across the streets. We never had to drive anywhere. There was nothing that I did not like. This is an excellent place to stay. Very clean and well maintained. Good breakfast buffet, plus the sundown reception three nights a week is good. Parking is available and only cost $7 per day. Check in and out was very easy.

It is extremely difficult to choose details for travel over the internet because you want the best deal but also the best accomodations. This hotel was a wonderful choice and I was very happy with everything associated with my stay. The staff was extremely kind and professional, the breakfast was great and the valet parking was such a relief. The hotel is within walking distance of many things especially River Street. I would definitely stay here again!

Lobby was pretty, room was comfortable, and the staff was friendly. Parking. Great location, and very attractive layout. Surprisingly quiet, within walking distance of a great number of attractions. Comfortable bed, lots of pillows and amenities. Not happy with the parking. Not used to paying a fee to use a parking deck, since hotel parking itself was so limited. Otherwise, a fantastic stay, and well worth the Priceline price!

Everything about this hotel was great. The location is near all the sites, the rooms are large and comfortable, and the staff is friendly. The breakfasts were the best I have had in a hotel and on Tues - Thurs they had free beer, wine and food from 5 PM to ? (maybe only in the off season).

The Staybridge Suites is the perfect hotel for family and business travelers. The rooms come with refrigerator w/ice maker, stove, dishwasher, microwave and all utensils. Also onsight is a laundry facility where you can wash your own clothes. They do not charge for this amenity. The location of the hotel is right across from River Street and many other local attactions. There is also a free full breakfast in the morning. The staff was always friendly and very helpful. The concierge went above and beyond helping us to get a rental car. I have nothing bad to say about this visit. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends.

Location was key for the trip, so this was just right. It was fantastic, there is nothing else to say. It was a great fit for us because of its location, the breakfast offering and helpful concierge.

The location is exceptional, near the river, the large oaks, spanish moss and away from the interstate. Breakfast selection was outstanding. We had a small pet, no problems. The valet parking 12 a little pricey. The small Zenith TV was adequate, but the beds were very comfortable, and clean throughout. 3 large windows with wooden venetian blinds...cool. The Staff courteous and professional, especially in the breakfast area.
