The reviews I read sounded nice so decided to book room for four ladies attending a seminar at a nearby hospital. What a joke. I do not remember the site that gave this place a 3 star rating but thought you deserve the truth. If you must stay here I think you will be safe. But my advice would be to move on.

I would rather spend the extra few dollars for a nice place in a better area I couldn't sleep and the restroom was filthy

I didnt even check in...you booked me in a shady DETROIT hotel...bad group of people hanging out side..lot filled with all beat down wreck of cars. I wouldnt let my worse enemy stay here. When I called to caancel..which i could not and got no help fromn orbitz on refund because owner wont do it. Sometimes cheapest price dosn't mean t best deal..and definrtly when you are talkin about a city with a high crime rate. I will NEVER use orbitz agian.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room had no clock, no iron andno toiletries other than soap. The hotel was alright. I got a bed, a TV and a free wireless connection - no other amenities.

1) Lack of towels meant that we had to purchase our own at CVS. When we asked the main desk tenant, he had no idea. Wow, you'd think that you'd be familiar with the area surrounding you. 2) About 5 hours before checkout time, I requested literally over 4 times if we could extend our stay for only 3 extra hours so that my friend could get some more rest before hitting the road. I got confirmation. So, instead of getting a restful extra 3 hours of sleep, we got a rude wake up bang on the door by the front desk who told us to get out. When we tried to explain the situation, who I was talking to, etc. the guy called the police on us. He said that he didn't have my debit information and that was why. Wow. So, next time I feel the need to destroy property... you can't catch me. What a horrible lie and insult to my intelligence. Yes, Detroit must have been that dead to call the poor cops on one small girl, and two dudes who were brushing their teeth and cleaning up the room as we were talking. We told the cops the story, and they looked just as annoyed as we were regardiing the situation. Waste of everyone's time and tax dollars. Thanks Stay Inn for your great wake up call, and horrible service. Next time at least give us a bed that wasn't broken, towels, and someone who actually understands the concept of the hospitality business. Coming from NYC and seeing the best and worst of civilization, this had to be an example of the latter.

The people were friendly. There was free wireless internet. Restaurant is cheap but good. Breakfast consisted of coffee only. The restaurant is good and very cheap. There is a very good restaurant opposite to the one owned by the hotel. I cannot comment about the surrounding because I basically stayed in my room and left. The best part for me was there is free, quite fast wireless internet. The people who worked there were friendly.

The Jacuzzi tub had been spray painted a different color. The phone didn't work and the AC unit was falling out of the wall. I would not recommend this hotel, which was a former motel converted, to anyone other then someone looking for a fairly inexpensive bed for the night.

Nothing. Entry card reset every other day. Hotel did not want to provide me with a receipt of my stay. Poor.

Convenience, staff was friendly. NA. The hotel's location was very convenient to getting to the downtown area of Detroit. Front desk was friendly. I only stayed for one day so I really didn't get a chance to stay in my room. Overall, it was a good experience.

Ugly hotel not having even basics for comfort. I would never recommend this hotel to anybody. Dirty linen's in the slipping beds, room without windows, no air conditioner. bathroom towels was dirty. This motel did not meet a minimum standards of hospitality and comfort! This hotel didn't have even hot water, nor even breakfast!

Nothing comes to mind. No towels, no maid service, no shampoo, no alarm clock, no remote, no closet, clogged drain, broken lock, burnt out light bulbs, no iron. This is definitely the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my entire life. I would not have been able to tolerate another night in that hole. There was a roof over my head and a mattress to sleep on and absolutely nothing else. It was like a roach motel without the roaches.

The front desk was nice. Everything. I suggest you remove this "hotel" from your site. Unless you are a runaway, prostitute, or any other unsavory type.

There was nothing I like about the hotel! It was dirty, unsafe, and not up to standards at all! First check in time was 2, checked in at 4:30 and our room was still not ready. The room had not been cleaned, no linens on the bed no towels and the bathroom was degusting! We left and came back 25 min later and it still wasn't ready. The door looked like it had been pried open with a crowbar and there was a 1/2 inch gap between the door and the frame around the lock area. There wasn't even hot water to take a shower or wash your face.

They should have paid us to stay there. It was horrible. There were blood stains on the wall. I did not feel safe. From the outside the hotel looked fine. We checked in and went to our room. The staff looked like people off the street that get hired daily. Needless to say I did not trust leaving my belongings in the room. To top it off we found what looked like blood on the walls and in the doorway. I live in a bigger city and for the price I paid for this hotel I could have at least gotten a clean room and felt that my belongings were safe. As for the continental breakfast I was too scared to try it I did not want to get sick. I did not use the pool for fear I may get a disease. Needless to say I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
