Stanlunds Resorts situated in the heart of Anza Borrego Desert State Park,was built in 50's has been remodelled in Feb 2005. A very quiet and peaceful place. Not too much traffic, a relaxing area with a lot of warm weather. Good for people looking for peace and tranquility. You can still be connected to the world through the high speed internet available in all the rooms. All of our rooms have 50s - 60s style room-layout and are also equipped with a microwave and fridge combination or kitchenettes, private patios, and coffee machines. Your room and setting gives you all the qualities required for sitting back, relaxing and enjoying the warm weather with the beautiful views of the mountain. On special occasions we reserve the right to implement a two night minimum stay. We also reserve the right to refuse service.

Crosswinds Steakhouse- situated at the airport with a good view and a casual atmosphere. Carlee's Place - A casual place with good sandwiches, karaoke at night and a bar. Krazy Coyote - festive place with lots of fun and color. Good food and music with a desert view. Kendalls Cafe - 2 miles east open 1000 - 2100 everyday Pabilitos Restaurant - 1 mile north open 1100 - 2100 everyday Badlands Cafe- situated in the mall, serves grilled food. Jilberto's Taco Shop- situated near the Christmas Circle. Mexican food, tacos , burrittos. Red Ocotillo- situated 2 blocks east of Christmas Circle. Serves breakfast and Lunch.

It was close to San Diego. Bugs in the bathroom. Note: This hotel (and the surrounding area) appears to be a resort town for winters only. In the summer, nothing is open. This is normal hotel behavior, but Borrego Springs is a desert town and the room had a wimpy AC. It took over 2 hours for the room to cool off. We finally left and drove around while the AC was doing its thing. I saw a roach in the bathroom and the refrigerator had been turned off or broken for months, leaving a horrible funk behind when I opened the door. The room itself was ok and the guy who was running the place seemed nice enough. The bathroom was pretty spacious and the hotel had sort of a made in the 50s charm going for it. I don't think that I'd stay there again, although it did make for memorable moments and funny stories later.

This was an older hotel but still maintained quite nicely. The Television and airconditioning are in good condition.I was able to keep myself entertained with TV most of the time. Rooms are ... clean and comfortable.I appreciated that the shower was actually a shower and not a tub/shower combo. The shower head was higher that average and ... didn't have to bend over to wash hair.The location didn't have too many restaurants ... in town, but the mountains and scenery looked beautiful.I loved this hotel. It was clean, the employees were friendly and very helpful.The pool, the room, the atmostphere were all outstanding. Not to mention the location is great.above all its only a pet friendly hotel in town and thats a good deal. i enjoyed my stay at STANLUNDS and I have told many a friend and colleague about this hotel.

Basic, cinderblock motel with outmoded decor, friendly service and clean rooms. Bed mattresses better than average. Good for the money in this overpriced area.

Nothing. It is constructed from cement blocks; the rooms look and feel like a 1950's bomb shelter. The beds were so uncomfortable. The kitchen appliances were clean, but the drawers, cabinets and shelves were disgustingly dirty. There is no spa, and the only pool was covered at all times. Definitely not worth the money! Do not stay here!

Good TV. Bad bathroom, loose toilet and small shower with extra hard water pressure. Probably Iwould not stay there again.
