Loved the position of the hotel but our room overlooking the roadway and was extremely noisy with garbage trucks waking us very early every morning. Would stay there again if a quiet room could be allocated

the shower head was broken off the shower, just hanging by a literal thread. as soon as it was touched it fell off. the cafe in the next building was not very clean but apparently was the only place we could get a meal in house. the staff were very offhand both at check in/out (couldn't have cared less that we didn't have a shower)and in the cafe.

The reception staff were very welcoming. The pool is in desperate need of refurbishment. Plasma tv would have been nice in the room. Breakfast was magnificent. The breakfast staff were excellent and the dining area was very pleasant.

We had a lovely week end stay at the Stamford and we could not have been happier with the room and the service. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room wss clean and well appointed and the package price was very reasonable for a major city. The lovation was excellent and handy for the free tourost tram. We will be staying there again.

Suite was a little smaller than imagined but for the price it was really very good. Parking was an issue as it takes half an hour to get the car from the valet so plan ahead.

This hotel is within easy walking distance of everything, especially the MCG. It is clean and quiet, but the room air-conditioning & lighting systems take a bit of working out. We would stay there again, especially for the footy or cricket.

For the price of the room you really did not feel like you were getting anything special. I booked the romance package and was left three choices short with the canapes and no bath already drawn as was meant to be included. Could of and should of been better

Whilst hotel is "old fashioned elegance" it is really getting out of date. Rooms are good as they are all apartments with lounge area. Price is expensive.

The Stamford is a little dated but everything is immaculately clean and well maintained. For the position it is good value if you want more room than a standard hotel room. We found staff most helpful and would stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and very convient being located in the heart of the CBD, Melbourne. The only comment is that we found the shower/bath/toilet area very small. Even to small to swing a cat in.

I was very impressed with the Stamford Plaza Melbourne as I obtained a good price through this booking service and got a room which I thought was lovely. The room appeared very new, clean, extremely comfortable. I really liked the glass elevators, the location was very central in Melbourne close to the theatre district and chinatown and can also recommend the buffet breakfast. Would certainly stay here again if available again at a competitive price.

We had an enjoyable stay at the Stamford Plaza. The queen 1 bedroom suite had everything to make one's stay comfortable. Location is fabulous for shopping and dining and trams etc are in very easy reach. A nice City hotel.
