They were always friendly and helpful. Sadly the pool was closed when we were there. Nice closeness for "city cat" transportation along the river.

Classical feel. Needed to be renovated. The hotel rooms were very nice and luxurious. The hotel lobby/facilities were very old and needed to be renovated - saggy furniture, torn wallpaper etc.

my only comment is that the mini bar check occurred while we were in our room and quite early in the morning. it meant 2 interruptions. i could not see how this could not be done when the room is vacated.

Having recently stayed at the Brisbane Stamford Plaza my husband and I were very pleased with the service, facilities and location of the hotel. We were so pleased that on our return journey from the Sunshine coast we enjoyed a second 2 night stay prior to our departure to Perth and also recommended and paid for our daughter and partner to also stay there. We would definitely stay at the hotel again.

This is my second stay at Stamford. My first visit was on business and I stayed two weeks and this was for 9 days. My partner and I enjoyed our visit. You can't beat the location. The bathrooms are spacious, the view of the Brisbane river and the botanical gardens were majestic, and the service simply top-notched. I also love the central location of the Plaza - close to public transportation and if you are a runner/walker you will love the paths along the river.

Location downtown and proximity to the river, shopping and restaurants. Equipment in the fitness room equipment of below average quality and usefulness. Very comfortable hotel. Beds are very good and the rooms are well appointed with a spacious washroom.

The Stamford is a little tired but is still a fantastic hotel. The superior rooms are a tad small. If you can afford it - opt for a suite.

Excellent location and a lovely room that is well appointed, spacious and luxurious in feel. The only criticism can be the mould in the shower, which is not what I'd expect in a hotel of this standard.

An outstanding hotel with a superb location right on the river bank and only steps from some great restaurants. Walking and running paths along the river are plentiful and easily accessed. don't miss the botanical gardens next door.

Not bad for a 5 star hotel!!:) The hot water in the shower was a little temperamental & the service in the restaurant was average at best but overall very satisfied with our stay

Spent 2 nights - one of which was a Sunday. 3 out of 4 restaurants were closed!!! Sunday morning we were woken up by Cleaning staff, wondering when could they clean the room!!! We told them - after 10 am. We returned to the hotel after 3.30pm and our room was still not cleaned. Could not see why the big hurry! Siggis Restaurant - on Saturday night was brilliant. Excellent food and excellent service.

Very nice hotel, nice breakfast buffet and high tea. Close to shopping, great service. Only thing we found not up to par was; hot tub was not hot and pool is rarely in the sun due to the shadow that is created by the hotel building itself. Rooms were a bit small but worked out ok.
