Staff at reception unhelpful and difficult, stains on the sheets and no offer to amend this. Buffet was below average for almost $40 per person and to top it off we got the worst smelling room I have ever been given. We found out later that this same room had been complained about by the people before us and they got moved! When we raised our concerns we were told nothing could be done!!

We had 2 nights at the Stamford Plaza Auckland and highly recommend it. All the staff were friendly and helpful at all times and would use it again. I was concerned that it could be a high noise level being in the city, not so very quiet.

We arrived from Tahiti to check out Auckland for 2 nights. This hotel is very new, modern and comfortable. A king bed and a plush room were set for us. The breakfast buffet is incredible, but very expensive. There's a great diner across the street that's good for a quick breakfast. I was extremely pleased upon our arrival. Highly recommend--as I had researched several city hotels in Auckland and this one really turned out nice.

The Stamford plaza is located well for shopping and for access to the Auckland wharf area. There is construction going on which is a little disruptive.

The Stamford Plaza is one of my favourite places but my only concern is that the rooms facing Albert Street are not sound-proof and can be quite noisy into the early hours.

The room was adequate - looked out over a construction area. The tea and coffee area was too high up and if I had been any shorter I would have needed to stand on a chair to get the kettle down. They do have a beautiful pool, spa and sauna area on the 11th floor and a nice bar/ restaurant area in the lobby. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous.

The hotel was in chaos with building going on outside our room and plenty of nois and dust. Our window was covered in polythene blocking any view. The buisness centre has no access. The receptionist made a mistake ehen we booked in and told us that we had only booked for 4 nights and this caused unneccessary anxiety as she told us the hotel was fulll on our last night. This proved not to be the case when we checked our booking on the internet.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, it has a nice ambience and it was very pleasant sitting in the bar listening to a guest playing the grand piano. The hotel is located within easy walking distance to the Ferry Building and the fabulous restaurants at the Viaduct. I would stay there again without hesitation

We were impressed with the Stamford Plaza - thinking that it was greatvalue for money considering that it is a five star property. At current pricing we would definitely stay again. This Hotel is very convenient indeed to the Harbour and city centre amenities.
