StaindropExcellent Room. Excellent parking facilities. Staff were brilliant.The only let down was the food. Although the food was satisfactory I thought the value for money was poor. A steak ordered arrived with 1/2 mushroom, fries,tomato and 3 large onion rings. The onion rings seemed to appear on every ones dishes. They were greasy. Some greenery for vegetables would have set the meal of nicely and would not appear to have been a 'bland' colour.

There could have been better directions to the hotel the reception staff were not very knowledgeable of the local area, otherwise lovely place.

A real breath of fresh air to find a hotel of such quality tucked away in Barnsley. Their fish and chip dinner is to die for, simply superb. Our room was immaculate and we did comment that you could stay for a week or longer and be so comfortable. The hotel is a credit to everyone who works there.

Restaurant was excellent. Hotel had a bit of a monopoly, as only hotel in Chapeltown. A long walk from the station. Late Rooms needs to make it policy clear about payment. As I had left my credit card details, I assumed that the room had been paid for but the hotel expected payment. This left me wondering about whether I had paid twice.

The hotel looks a bit basic from the outside, but the rooms are enormous and well furnished. Really nice hotel, breakfast was good with really happy helpful staff. Locals use the bar/restaurant, so it's quite lively. The local town does not have much to offer, you'd really need to eat at the hotel or have made other plans.

I have got to say one of the best hotels i have come across, if you finfd fault please let me know? wonderfull staff,hotel & food nothing was aproblem for any off them. i was working in bar area for the best part of 6 hours staff just left me to get on with it occational asking if i require any thing can write or recommened enough

What a freindly hotel this is! The staff in the restaurant especially so. My room was lovely and very large. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a quality, clean place to stay - with great food!

Good hotel, easy location. Huge rooms, Appears very Clean. Friendly staff and very responsive, had a bulb out in my room and they were up in two minutes! Not a huge fault but could hear mobile phones ringing and voices from other guests through the walls. Dinner was very good in the brasserie next door which is modern and fresh. Free internet access which was great. Stayed one night for business. I had one complaint as I noticed a chamber maid had proped open a door of one of the rooms with clean sheets... not very nice to think about sleeping on sheets which have been placed on a hotel floor albiet a fairly clean one... the front desk said it would be dealt with and wasn't something that 'normally' happens. Sadly being a bit germ concious, I would think about this when booking again and not sure if I could. My husband said it wasn't that big of a deal. You decide. Nice place.
