Good central locationThe location of the hotel the hotel was the amin reason for my booking, being able to walk just about everywhere within the city in less than half an hour. The hotel was clean and friendly but if your arriving by car get there early as there is not much room in the court yard. Our rooms were cosy and on the second floor (no lifts) up very steep and narrow stairs (which proved a challenge for our drunken neighbours at 3 am). We had a small electric fan in our room to cope with the heat wave that was not of much use and led to an uncomfortable nights sleep. The menu is a little on the expensive side but the food however is very good and worth the money. We have stayed in many better hotels but this one was fine for our weekend break and would definatley stay again for the location.

A haven of PeaceSt. Olaves is old fashioned and charming, and the staff, Portuguese and British, most helpful and friendly. Staying on the top floor our room looked out over treetops and we might have been sleeping in the country, such was the silence. We shall be visiting again.

This was agood location for seeing the city centre. The hotel occupies an old and historically interesting building set in a lovely courtyard and garden. It provided a peaceful and quiet place to stay right in the middle of the city. Our room was very pleasant if a little dark.

Great roomThe main thing is the people at the hotel are really friendly, even lending me their computer to check my mail. The hotel is of the road in a courtyard which was very pretty, lots of plants and old brick walls. The room was great, good colour scheme, clean bathroom, good range of teas, coffee etc. with the kettle + cookies. The four poster was large and very comfortable, although it did wobble a bit so I was glad I was by myself. I only had breakfast so I can't give a full account of the food but the breakfast was very good and included in the price ( unlike some hotels). We were in four singles in the side building. It was just like being in your own house.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a joy to stay here. It was only a short walk into the centre of town. I would definetly recommend a stay in this hotel.

A very comfortable, contemporary-decor hotel in the heart of Exeter. My room was spacious and decorated in a style which set it apart from typical business hotels. This visit was for business but I'd happily stay here as part of a weekend break. Great cooked breakfast! Highly recommended.

Very friendly, excellent and professional service from all members of staff. Room was a little small, but clean and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent. Only let down was the main course of the dinner which was over cooked. Generally though a very pleasant hotel, with great staff and a warm and friendly atomsphere. I would definitely return.

Lovely hotel in the centre of Exeter, but in a very quiet courtyard. My room and bed were very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was great.
