St Mark Hotel was ideal for a one night stay when working in London the next day. The location is great as there are bars and restaurants aplenty on Earls Court High Street. My room was fine for a single occupant but would have been tricky for two as the double bed was pushed up against the wall. Ensuite had a surprisingly good shower but the real treat was the 'kitchen in a cupboard' which would be very handy for those staying for a longer period.

The location is convenent as few steps from Earl's Court tube station. Tenants are friendly and helpful. Room 10 is on first floor, clean and functional but very tiny. Shower and toilets very clean! Due to the little space available, the roomrate of GBP 81.- for a double room, per room, per night was on the higher side.

Value for moneyOnly paid £33 for a double room but there were a number of drawbacks to this. The double bed was up against the wall so not much room if there was a couple staying in the room. The TV was at a right angle to the bed which was very annoying and there was no remote control. The bathroom had some cracked tiles also. Water in the sink and bathroom was only lukewarm. Breakfast was fine, plenty of juice and cereal, tea and toast available.On the whole, good value for the money I paid but wouldnt be somewhere I would stay if I was with someone. Fine for a one night stay in a central London location (just round corner from Earls Court tube station)

Basic room at reasonable priceThis was a basic room which was fine for my purpose (little luggage, overnight stay) but would not have been suitable if I was spending any amount of time in the room or had luggage as room would have been too small.

Clean, friendly, accessible & cheap. Really enjoyed my 4-day stay at St Marks. The rooms are basic, but for an average of less than £50 per night, it can't be faulted. The bedroom and bathroom were both clean, the bed was comfortable and the sheets were spotless. The rooms were also warm (without being too hot). Also included in the room was a mini-kitchen consisting of a kettle, sink unit (separate to the one in the bathroom), microwave and fridge.The included breakfast consisted of cornflakes or muesli, toast (with cheese or jam) and boiled eggs. Basic, but enough to get you through until a late lunch.Upon check-in, we discovered that our bedroom window (on the first floor) wouldn't lock properly. I reported this to the receptionist, who came to look right away. The lock was fixed within ten minutes. Overall I found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating.The only slight criticism would be with the size of the bathroom, which was very small. Still usable, but small. Still, for the ten minutes per day that I spent there, it was fine!The hotel is situated less than 5-minutes walk from Earl's Court tube station and as such is very easily accessible from anywhere on the Picadilly line or the District line. The street is quiet and there was no disturbance from either tube, traffic or local pub life.Overall I would highly recommend this hotel at about £50 per night, and would happily use it again myself.

Very not friendly receptionist on evening of arrival (3rd March). Basement room was quite OK, but the noice of the dining room could be heard and was a bit annoying. Won't go back there.

My first visit to LondonThis hotel has a perfect location being 3 minutes from Earls' Court station, 25 minutes from Victoria station via tube (from hotel).The room is not big, but the microwave and the water boiler is very convenient.Our room was on the top floor, this was quite an excursion to climb up.Customer service is OK. Food is not the best in town, but OK. Room is clean. The heating was also OK (and it was pretty cold outside).

I was given the room near the reception on the ground floor - unusual for a woman alone. The reception area was noisy way into the small hours.The floor & wall tiles in the bathroom were cracked & broken - I ruined two pairs of new tights!!! Luckily did not break the skin on my foot.There is no nightstand or headboard on the bed.No remote control for the TV

Great Hotel for the price. Room was tight, but perfect for crashing in.Breakfast was included, basic continental DIY.Would receommend as cheap hotel to crash in after night in London.

Compared to my first stay booked with laterooms at this hotel, the food (breakfast) was failry poor, a dissatisfaction for me and my partner; Just one sort of jam, no ham or other sausage-like bread topping, as it had been before;

Although the rooms were pretty 'compact' they were clean & functional. Reception staff were always helpful & welcoming, despite other visitors' comments. Location was brilliant, only 2 mins from Earls Ct tube station & nr lots of shops/bars/restaurants. My only complaint was that it was very noisy in the morning, as we were on the ground floor where all the deliveries/laundry happened. I'd recommend asking not to stay on this floor.

the hotel was very clean, quiet and up to date with decor, there was satellite tv and it wasclose to Earl's Court tube station.

The room (No. 10) was not airconditioned. The window opened onto an easily accessible ledge so we had to keep it closed which was inconveneint. Also, this is a non smoking hotel and numerous previous occupants of the hotel had smoked, poking their heads out of the window and depositing a huge quantity of butts in the gutter on the ledge. This did not smell too good. Also the receptionist smoked outside the front door and this smoke found its way up the satirs to room 10 so we could smell it in our room.The breakfast was a \"Continental\" breakfast which was ok but we were expecting a full breakfast. These were available for an extra £5.Notwithstanding these negatives, we would use the hotel again as it is cheap, clean and close to Earl's Court Tube station.

This place is a disgrace!!!! I was informed upon arrival by a duty manager that I was incredibly lucky to get a room at this establishment. I was given a room on the 4th floor and had to negotiate numerous flights of steep stairs. The entire hotel smelt like a pub kitchen. When entering the double room I booked, I found they had managed to force a single bed into this already small room, leaving very little floor space. You had to shuffle sideways past the double bed. YOU COULD NOT SEE THE TV FROM THE BED.....would be Ok if you enjoyed watching TV standing upright!!!! I could not find the TV remote and was informed after making a trip downstairs that these are available upon producing a £10 refundable deposit....fine!!! THE HOTEL IS ACROSS THE ROAD FROM A YOUTH HOSTEL......DRUNKEN NOISE UNTIL 03H15 IN THE MORNING!!!!!!! NO HOT WATER EVEN AFTER RUNNING THE SHOWER FOR 10 MINUTES......THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF.....DO NOT GO NEAR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
