Description:
The St. Hilary is an elegant 4 star Victorian guest house situated on the promenade. We offer a very warm welcome, recently refurbished modern and comfortable bedrooms, a fantastic breakfast and a cosy guest lounge. You will find us in the AA's Britain's Best Bed and Breakfast Guide 2008. Once you have stayed here, we are confident you will want to return! The guest house has been tastefully redecorated and refurbished over the last few years, successfully blending the splendid Victorian building with modern but elegant bedrooms. Our location boasts the best of both worlds, as we are only a 15 minute walk from the town centre and the new Parc Llandudno shopping centre, and yet it is quieter and much easier to park than in the centre of the town. There is unrestricted on-street parking for our visitors. Venue Cymru (North Wales Theatre and Conference Centre) is only a level five minute walk from the St. Hilary. We are ideally situated to offer quality accommodation to both business delegates and leisure visitors alike. With business delegates and travellers in mind we have installed free wireless broadband access for your use. We have beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean bedrooms, comfortable beds with crisp white linen, remote control colour TV with freeview, radioalarm clock, hairdryer, MINERAL SPA toiletries, binocularstelescope in all sea-view rooms, well stocked hot drinks tray including Fairtrade products.

Pleasant, if compactWe got one of the last rooms at the hotel when we booked and so had a back (non-sea view) room which contained a double bed and a single bed. This was one bed too many for what was quite a small bedroom and, as we do not travel light, we struggled for space. I think the room may lend itself better to being a single room. HOWEVER, we enjoyed our stay, the decor of the hotel is pleasant and sea-sidey without being twee and the food was good, although again the Dining Room was a bit cramped, also the service was excellent. Parking is easy and free, the views are lovely, the Hotel is quiet (crucially!!) and the owners are full of helpful advice. As usual for small British hotels (alas) the shower was a weedy electric affair and the bathroom was too small. I sense this review sounds very critical and so I should again underline what a nice hotel it is and I do recommend it to most travellers.

Top quality Guest house in North Wales This Guest house is an ideally situated accomadation for anyone looking for a short break in North Wales. Llandudno itself is a lovely sea side town with great facilities, a fabulous promenade and the Great Orme is a must see site. Just beware the ice cream stealing sea gulls!! The guest house is ideally situated on the promenade with the town centre close by. it is also outside the pay to park area so you can leave your car for free outside the guest house. The accomadation is first class, room is lovely, breakfast is superb and is great value for money. Owners are very friendly and made our short holiday in North Wales a great success.

Lovely guesthouse, clean, comfortable and the owners were very hospitable. Our room had a wonderful sea view. The breakfast was fantastic with a good choice - it set us up for the day. We'll definitely stay there again.

Very friendly and helpful owners with wonderful welcome - without being over the top. Lovely room with the most comfortable bed/pillows/duvet/sheets I have ever slept in. Breakfast was all served at the table (even juice and cereal which was very nice) excellent service. It was beautifully cooked and nothing was too much trouble. The only reason I have marked "quality of room" lower is because the bathroom was so tiny (you could only just open the door to get in) and it had a Saniflo system with the pump going intermittently which I didn't really like. However everywhere was beautifully clean and we had a big comfortable room with bay window at the front. I would certainly stay there again

The hotel is ideally situated on the main road into Llandudno, easy to find and near enough to the town for us to be able to park the car when we arrived and leave it there. The owners were very friendly and helpful and made ur stay very enjoyable. Unfortunately they had no control over the weather and although I had booked a room with a sea view at extra cost, was unable to see it because the windows were steamed up on the inside and covered in rain on the outside. Despite this it was nice to be able to go to sleep with the sound of the sea, which was just across the road, in my ears. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone who appreciates the old fashioned courtesies of life, where the paying guest has priority and treated very well.

An obviously loved and cared for Guest House. A warm welcome, great room with sea view. The bed was a little too firm for my liking, but that is the only fault I could find. Looking forward to visiting again.
