exceptional qualitythe hotel is an oasis of calm within Norwich. Beautiful decor, friendly staff and great service. Suite was huge, bed extremely comfortable and walk in shower within enormous bathroom was fabulous. Very central location, safe car parking - highly recommended.

This is a lovely hotel - the rooms are well equipped and clean, the hotel is quiet but very well-located. The breakfast is excellent and although I didn't eat at the hotel in the day or evening, there are plenty of very good restaurants nearby. The staff are very helpful and when I had problems working out the Freeview on the tv, they sent someone to help very quickly. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and look forward to going back next time I'm in Norwich - I have stayed here before for business and leisure.

Just a few mins walk from the centre. Small friendly hotel, interesting decor and furnishings.

Very comfortable hotel with excellent reception staff.Very comfortable hotel with excellent reception staff. The room was well appointed, however the shower could have had a stronger water flow and the cubicle door could have done with keeping more water in! The breakfast choice was good, and what I had was very well cooked. Apart from breakfast, we didn't eat in the hotel as it looked expensive, but given the quality of breakfast it might have been worth a try. This hotel looks worthy of its 4* status.

The staff were excellent throughout the stay. The room was excellent with a very large bathroom. My colleague was upgraded to a suite at no extra cost on arrival, so very impressed. All 3 courses in the hotel restaurant were cooked to an excellent standard and deserve praise. The breakfast was included in the price and it was also very nice. There is bay parking outside the front of the Hotel, but there is a dedicated car park to the rear, which you may require directions to from the Hotel staff.

What a find. A lovely hotel only 2 minutes from the centre of the city. The rooms are lovely, the breakfast freshly cooked and delicious. This is probably also the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in.

Information about the parking lot should be more clearly stated: directions to the car parking from St Giles Street should be a bit clearer. You have to drive down a 'pedestrians only' lane which does NOT look like it's drivable down, yet it is the right way. That is not obvious.

Spotlessly clean hotel. Friendly staff. Bar prices not too expensive. Comfy bed. Ideal city centre location.Cost a few quid but was well worth it. Only complaint came from my wife, no bath in room! (shower was excellent)

The hotel staff were friendly from the ouset, the room very clean as well s the hotel as a whole. the room was spacious and nicely decorated with individual furniture and the bed as very comfortable. The only reason I lowered the quality of the room was the noise of the heating. Great breakfast in the morning that set us up for the day.

We have stayed here before and hoped that with the change of owner things might have improved. The staff were delightful and very helpful but the quality of the room was very basic for this level of hotel. Little things such as no where to plug in a hairdryer without moving furniture; the kettle had to be boiled whilst balanced on the floor as there were no surfaces to stand it on. The decor was tired such as scuffs on the walls and marks on the carpets and very stangely no valance coving the bed base which actually was not a good look! No clock or radio and a TV with very bad reception. We were in a room next to the service cupboard and were awakened at 7am by the cleaners coming in and out banging the doors and chatting. Not really what you want on a weekend break. This could be a really great place with just a little more effort and Norwich really needs a good hotel.

Perfect spot to walk Norwich, all major amenities and sightseeing within easy walking.Grand old building refurbished into a excellent art deco themed, comfortable hotel. Rooms excellant, no baths on suite but the bathrooms are large with walk-in shower and very modern with good class toiletries and very clean. Double bedroom was large, very clean, comforable and well furnished. Would definitely stay here if ever visiting Norwich again.

Would definately stay at this Hotel again. The room was immaculate - good size and the bed was huge and comfortable. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food quality was excellent and the location was ideal for bars, restaurants and the wonderful shopping!

Friendly staff, well appointed comfortable rooms have been recently refurnished. Not cheap but very convenient for central Norwich.

This is a quality small hotel which would put some of the larger chains to shame. The room was excellent with all the facilities expected of 4 star hotel and the a la carte breakfast was better than some of the 5* hotels I'd stayed in. The service was very friendly and personable. Good parking although a little difficult to find. The only slight negative comment, was because it is a small hotel and it appeared quiet, it did lack a little atmosphere in the evening. Perfect City Location! Will defenately choose this again. NG, Beccles

Beware!! some rooms are not air-conditioned and in summer the non-air-conditioned rooms are stifling with only a fan to move the warm air around. Previous stay was lovely in an air-conditioned room, with a shower that I could turn to cool if necessary and a sink that did not block. Sadly my most recent stay was not the same and I don't think I will be staying there again. I also found out a previous tv fault I had reported had not been fixed from my last stay!
