This is an older hotel that is well maintained and clean. It doesn't have a restaurant or pool. The rooms are plain and with the exception of one room with a sofa bed the only chairs are straight back chairs. The hotel runs between St Catherine St and Rene Levesque so it's near plenty of things to do. It's a short walk to Old Montreal and China Town. The hotel also gives you a pass to park in the underground lot right around the corner. It costs $12 a day. If you want to use the Metro it's right up the street. This is a great place if you're looking for a place to sleep, it's not luxery!! There are plenty of things to do in the area and plenty of restaurants. It's so convenient to everything I would definitely stay there again.

This is an older hotel in a good location. Parking is around the corner in a heated garage for 12 a day and the subway station is right up the street. Our hotel room was on the third floor and was quite large. The only problem we had was that there was not enough hot water for a shower in the morning. I would stay at the Hotel St. Denis again.

Located only a short block and half from the hip quarttier and our walk. On tcafes. Good value for yhe sametaurants and bars. block as normal cool tres The Berri-UQAM shriving with nightlifeubway/metro stop is a block away... can easily reach the hotel. Berri-UQAM is a central hub station connecteed to long haul bus lines. In between the hotel and the Berri-UQAM estation is the campus of Universite de Quebec at Montreal aka UQAM. It is populated with lively intelligent friendly and attractive students.

Great bargain hotel, but the rooms have paper for walls and are in need a serious updating. No fridge or individual A/C unit. Better for younger travelors (30 and under). Pay a little more and stay at a nicer hotel.

Hotel St. Denis was just what we were looking for in a hotel, a great location and a quiet room with a comfy bed to recuperate from a busy day of sightseeing. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only complaint I have is the inroom coffee had a slightly bitter taste. There is also a bar at the bottom of the hotel. There is no pool, spa, etc., but if you don't care about that, this is the perfect place to stay. The neighborhood is a little sketchy but my husband and I felt perfectly safe walking, even at night, and the metro was only 2 blocks away. I would definitely stay here again, especially after seeing the neighborhoods that the fancy downtown hotels were in. St. Denis is a charming street and there are many restaurants, etc. within an easy walk.

The Saint Denis was perfectly located for the even t I was attending. The room was clean tho the water pressure was weak. While I was there, the wireless internet service (free) was not working. There is an Italian Restaurant on one side of the hotel and a little coffee shop on the other. Friendly staff and good location are the best qualities of this hotel.

We had a large and comfortable room. You can't beat the location as the hotel is within walking distance to Old Town and downtown. The service by the hotel staff was very good and very fast. We are planning to stay here again.

The Hotel St. Denis was a nice quiet small hotel with a friendly staff. The beds were very comfortable and the room was of sufficient size. There were two really nice restaurants just down stairs and were reasonably priced. Good breakfasts. The location was excellent, just a short walk to the metro station and just off of St. Catherine Street. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I was looking for a room at the last minutes in Montr? and I found this hotel walking around in the streets! The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and the rate fair. I had an excellent time!

I was incredibly impressed w/ my stay and it?s in a prime location of Montreal. The hotel St. Denis was actually nicer than what I had expected. I wasn?t looking for the extra amenities, so the room & bathroom was exactly what I needed. The concierge was accommodating to my needs. Being a female, I felt safe at night b/c only guests are allowed up to the rooms after 10pm. I never had to take the metro, everything was in walking distance. There were two nice cafes on either side. When I visit Montreal in the future, I will be staying at the Hotel St. Denis again.

The Hotel St Denis was in a great location and most area attractions and restaurants were within walking distance once I figured out the city grid. Restaurants were plentiful on Rue St Denis and one could be easily lured into dining only in the area. The hotel was old but charming and full of culture, clean and comfortable, and the rooms were large and spacious. The day staff was especially warm and friendly and very knowledgeable of the city. Very little time was spent in the hotel because there was so much to do in this city that was full of history and culture.

We chose this hotel based on other reviews describing it as clean, centrally located and a good value for the price. Hotel St. Denis is nothing fancy, but we were very comfortable there and we are quite happy to agree with the positive reviews. We enjoyed both the Cafe Kilo which is attached through the lobby and the restaurant Pacini next door for breakfast. And, there are plenty of other interesting restaurants within walking distance. There wasn't much in the way of tourism brochures in the lobby, but the receptionist was able to provide a map of the neighborhood and helped us find our way to Mont Royal for a stunning view of the city.
