Check in went smoothly and our room was comfortable. I did not like the layout of the suite, but that is more of a personal preference. There was really no division between the sleeping area and living area, which meant you could not close the bedroom to sleep while someone else watched television. The food for breakfast was filling but bland. I will say that I was totally fascinated with the prepackaged fried eggs - no taste at all. The pool was quite small and occupied with multiple children so we stayed away from this area. During the week (this was a weekend) it may be quite nice. Also on the weekend the eating area was crowded. If you could not get a table you could eat in the lobby or take food back to your room. If we stay here again we will eat breakfast out. For dinner there are multiple options nearby. Carrabba's is right next to the hotel and food and service were great. Do a call ahead or take out if you wish. The facility was clean, staff was accomodating, but the elevator needs major repair.

The location. The small suite sizes and lack of privacy. The hotel was decent for the weekend trip we took to Asheville. However, the suite room was much smaller than I expected and the bedroom was not separated with a door from the rest of the suite like I had hoped, considering I traveled with my partner and his brother and wife. We slept on the sofa bed which was probably the most comfortable pullout I've ever slept on, so that I didn't have a problem with. It was just that there was no privacy or intimacy. Also, the pool and spa area were nice to have, but there were always teenagers and loud children occupying the facility, so it's not adult-friendly if you do not have children of your own. The continental breakfast was decent. Nothing special, but not bad. The hotel was certainly in a great location as it was minutes from dining, shopping, movie theaters, Downtown Asheville and the Biltmore Estate, so it didn't take long to get to our destinations.
