I am fearful by the grounds that this place may go under & that would be a shame as the staff did their best, it was charmingly set in the woods but decks were unswept and full of spider webs. Breakfast was adequate & coffe was always on.

This was one of the worst hotel stays I have ever experienced. When I arrived at the hotel they did not have my reservation and had to call Orbitz which was very embarrassing. As we were driving up to the hotel my first thought was "what have I done" there was a building next to it that was not being used, the parking lot and lawn were both overran with weeds. It looked absolutely horrible from the outside. the clerk told us that breakfast was in the morning from 8-10 but when we got downstairs at 9 we were told that breakfast was served from 5-8 so we missed out on it. We called the front desk to request another pillow and was told that they would call us back and they never did. I will never book another trip through Orbitz and I will tell everyone that I know the horrible time that I had. This hotel looks absolutely wonderful in the pictures but it was nothing like I thought it would be. They were repairing the pool and had a very strong smell like rubber cement all through the halls it was just terrible. If you are thinking of staying here don't do it!

Me and my wife went to spend some time together for our anniversary. The room was not quite what we thought. We ended up switching rooms 2 times. The first time was because of cob webbs on the ceiling and the room wasn't the cleanest and the next room the TV channels didn't come in. But the owner was very nice and upgraded us to a suite which we appreciated.

Overall this inn was a great value for the price. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. My husband used the work-out facility and reported that there were several equipment options. We did notice that the carpet in the hall was worn through in spots. On the negative side, we had to wait for someone to notice us standing at the front desk for both check-in and check-out as the employees were doing other tasks in the lobby. The breakfast was just mediocre - it's all do-it-yourself.

Good value for the money. Nice and secluded in the woods.

The room was/is huge! The big king bed was really confortable with great pillows! The room was clean to the point of being immaculate! Top of the line shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shower cap. Small refridgerator and microwave in the room. Close to some good resturants. Front desk staff are very knowledgeable about the resturants, and local tourists attractions. Close to casino's if one would wish to gamble. Excellent breakfast, good food and beautiful scenic sitting area. The fireplace always has a fire on cooler days. Lobby is wonderful place to relax, and use laptop computer! Easy to find, right off of Interstate 94! I always will go back to stay at Springhouse Inn when visiting the Micheagan City area!!!

great place to stay with a family or with a spouse. the pool is open 24 hours, what a nice change not to have to rush to the pool before it closes. does not have a restaurant, however there is plenty of food choices several miles down the road, dine in or carry out. remember there are free beaches and free parking there, you do not have to pay $ dollars to swim and park, ask the staff they will direct you. the 3p-11p girl there is extremely nice to deal with. if you want to relax it's fantastic, if you are looking for nightlife and more then go to chicago and stay there. we will be back

The Spring house has fallen down hill and hit bottom hard! The front desk person was lazy and very rude, the maintenance was very poor out side.I have stayed here many times over the last few years and we loved the place but for some reason every thing has changed we will not return .

Upon arrival and after the receptionist gave us the room #, I requested to be changed, because the room was to close to the front area, and she said no. I then asked if the hotel was sold out and she said no, but that she wasn't able/wouldn't change our room. The hotel is tired looking. Needs to be renovated. This is the first time that we've stayed at the hotel in about three years. We were disappointed the the new management has changed much of the smaller details so drastically. No real coffee cups. They only offer Styrofoam cups. They used to have real coffee mugs. Their holiday (Christmas)flowers were still out by the fire place, it's August! My room had stains on the carpet, and I just didn't get the impression the room was cleaned. All the pictures in the hallways have lamps plugged into them. I noticed that they weren't lighten.

The Springhouse Inn was very comfortable, the room was large with a desk and extra chairs. Nice area to sit and enjoy breakfast. Must drive to eat meals. CLean pool area to enjoy the wooded view.

I took my son up to Porter county, In., To see the Dunes State Park, with a friend. The room was much larger than expected, and seemed quite clean. I really liked the complimentary waffle bar, the next morning. The Springhouse Inn, was alot closer to the Dunes than I expected. We stayed all week end, which wasn't really long enough time. There is so much to do in Porter county, Valporaiso is quite close and lots to do there, also. The Inn was tucked in the tip of some woods, lots of wildflowers, we very much enjoyed our stay, we'll be back...My son really enjoyed the indoor pool, my friend and I took in the sauna, and hot tub.We also enjoyed the balcony overlooking the property. We throughly, enjoyed the country setting.

The Springhouse Inn is nice in that it is off the beaten path and pleasantly quiet. It's a bit dark and sparten but adequate. It's close enough to Indiana Dunes Park, which was the reason for my stay.

This was a very nice hotel that is nestled near woods. It is nice for a get away and is clean. The pool was nice as well and the rooms were well kept.

I was here for a family wedding and didn't want to stay in the typical motel room at high prices. I found this fabulous B&B -- they offered Continental breakfast (including make-your-own Belgian waffles!), an indoor pool and bubbling spa (not a jacuzzi), as well as a quality inn cleaned to within an inch of its LIFE! The view of the woods from my room in the mornning was fantastic to wake up to. All in all, a VERY good quality for the money, and I highly recommend it.

Excellent place to getaway from daily routine, not to many restaurants near by, but didn't really matter. Room is very clean, and well kept.
