Spacious room with free buffet breakfast. Staff was very friendly. There wasn't anything that I disliked!

The elevator was pretty slow, the dryer never did dry my load of clothes, the a/c was loud on high and the bed was a little too soft, but the cleanliness and friendly hotel staff were awesome and made our stay really enjoyable!! The price is great for the area, within 2 miles of a great beach!!

this hotel was so good...the staff was overly nice. the room was just as promised...2 queen size beds, 2 tvs, a separate area for showering and sink, a mini-kitchenette, sleeper sofa and chaise. the room had a hair dryer, iron and board included. each morning upon getting room cleaned the toiletries (soap, shampoo, lotion, and conditioner) and towels were replaced. the room was extremely clean. i loved the aspect of having a marketplace with internet access and printer in the lobby as it was convenient. the room also had internet hook-up which was nice. the fitness room was mostly treadmills and one weight lifiting machine...that was a shock as i expected a larger and more diverse equipment. but that was not a bummer at all to this trip. upon asking to be moved to 2nd floor due to health reasons, the staff complied without any problems or hesitation. when the printer was broken in the lobby the staff was more than eager to print out some directions and boarding passes for us. i will definently visit this hotel again anytime i fly out for a visit. the beds were so comfortable and the lighting was awesome. the pool looked nice, although i never got the opportunity to use it. also had a spa, which i thought was nice too. however, i regret not getting to use either of them. this hotel is in a good location, as if you get lost, you can easily find signs that lead to the airport (lax) and then the hotel is @ 3 miles southeast. i cant say enough good about this hotel. there were no negative aspects noted on this trip about the hotel. thanks so much for a great stay!!!!

The Springhill Suites by Mariott was a pleasant surprise. The room were nicely appointed and large. There was a nice bar area adjacent from the office/living room area which had a nice seperation from the bed/bath area. The hotel location was a a few minute car ride to the beach where there was a nice selection of restaurants and specialty stores.

The room was very comfortable and clean. There aren't enough seats for breakfast. The hotel was quite clean, the staff was very nice, the bed and shower were great, and it is close to Manhattan Beach. A very good value.

Hotel advertised as a smoke-free environment. The problem was when I complained about the smokers puffing away right at the front entrance. I requested that they move the ashtrays away from the front door entrance (state law requires no smoking within 20 feet of doorways and functioning windows), however, front desk staff delayed my request to speak to manager, staff also commented about how insistent I was that I speak to manager and requesting that the ashtrays be moved a few feet away from entrance so that the smoke did not enter the hotel lobby and restaurant everytime the doors automatically opened. I also told staff I was allergic to 2nd hand smoke and that it affected my health every time I had to walk through the entrance and lobby area. I must carry medication to deal with my respiratory problems and I wear a "medical alert" ID. Nothing was ever done to rectify the problem and I had to check out a day earlier than I had planned.

The staff was all smiles and very helpful. There wasn't anything I didn't enjoy about this hotel. This hotel was more than what I had expected. We had needed a cell phone charger and one of the ladies up front had let us borrow hers. The next day we were wanting a good Sushi place and they had given us a map of where it was at and how to get to the beach after.I really enjoyed it and would love to go back again if ever I needed to.

i was very happy when my daughter and i arrived at springhill...the lobby is beautiful and inviting...the staff checked us in very promptly. once we aopened the door i was very impresed...the room has beautiful mirrors on the wall and a seperate kitchen area with a nice size stainless steeel sink and microwave and mini refrigerator...a beautiful desk and chair and the sitting area has a pull out sofa bed and chai and chaise...the room also have 2 tv's!!! the bathroom has granite floors and the swhower heads are to die for!!! nice closet space...when u lay in the bed the mattress absorbs your body and just wrap around you and the pillows are heaven...even though we would leave stuff around room service will still come in and clean up making our room look new every time...breakfast was fantastic...u could eat as much as you want...eggs sausage, cakes breads muffins bagels waffle maker cereals juices etc...i needed a taki one day and front desk called and by the time i turaround it was there...just like magic...i will stay again...the sauna is clean and relaxing too!

The Springhill Suite Marriott Los Angeles LAX/Manhattan Beach, Hawthorne, Ca. was an excellent choice. Check in and check out was quick and easy. The room was very comfortable and clean. I didn't expect such a large breakfast. I only expected danish, coffee and juise. I didn't expect all the varieties of teas, juises, breads and pastries plus the eggs, susage, and you could even make your own waffles. Everything was easily accessible. The pool was clean and the hot tub was great. I'm handicapped and I was pleased with the accesiblity to everything. On my next trip to Ca. to visit my family, I'm going to stay there again and I've already told my friends back home what a great hotel it was for the money. No wonder there was so many people staying there. Great Accomodations.

Free parking, free breakfast, a little better breakfast than most hotels offer. Breakfast time was too crowded, like a zoo, hard to find a table, hard to get to the foodbecause of so many people.

Just stayed here with my daughters for a mother/daughter trip. Absolutely the best bed for a hotel. I actually liked them better than Westin. Room was pretty large and had a kitchenette with small refrig and micro. There was also a small sitting area. Breakfast is included and they had a good variety. Manhattan Beach has some nice smaller restuarants. Close highways access to various attractions including LA Garment District. Lots of eating places, shopping, movies in the surronding area. Good choice!

I really appreciate the friendliness in the staff and over all the cleanliness in the room. I have already recommended this place to friends, family and will be used by our company more often. Great job!

The room was really nice and the bed was perfect. I did not like the fact this hotel did not have a restaurant. Over all review I would say it met my expectations and the location to the beach was perfect.

Large rooms. Cheap, location isn't right next to the beach like it says. Right down the street I got the Belamar hotel. I recommend Belamar; I don't recommend this for the money! Kids set off the sprinklers, which subsequently set off the alarms, waking me at 12 a.m.; the elevators took 5 minutes regardless of time of day and there was never more than 1 of 2 in working order during our stay (4 nights); the wake up call kept waking me at 6 a.m. Did I mention that, I didn't ask for a wake up call at all, and called the front desk to tell them this several times? All in all, if you're going to Manhattan beach, stay at the Belamar. A million times better for the money.

Well appointed room, free parking. Fire alarm malfunction kept everyone awake all night. The initial impression was very good: Free parking and well appointed suites with microwave and fridge looked great for a family with small children, but read on. Around 11 p.m., when all of us were asleep after a tiring day at the beach, the fire alarm went off. The shrill sound screamed from the alarm speakers next to the beds. After carrying the kids 5 flight of stairs down to the front desk, we were asked to go back because there was some malfunction in the fire system. The alarms kept going off throughout the night and we could not sleep at all. In the morning, both elevators were out of service and we had to again walk down the stairs from the fifth floor carrying our children to achieve our complimentary breakfast and then walk back up again to pack our bags to check-out. Heavens had some mercy on us and one elevator was restored by the time we checked out. There was no explanation or apology offered by the hotel staff for all the inconvenience that we had to go through. Maybe this was an isolated incident, but incidents like these bring out the real customer service of the hotel.
