I thought this was a waste of time and money. Teenagers, stay at home and play your xbox.

I was excited to be going to a water park in the beginning of spring. I WAS EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED. Only 4 water attractions? I truly believe this was a waste of money and time.

We wanted to attend the Shipshewana Fleamarket and wanted to stay close by in Amish Country. Although our room was set for 2 adults and four kids, my wife and I found it very clean, comfortable, friendly and helpful service and a great location. SOmeday, we want to take the grandkids back. In the meantime, we watched the sunset along with the horse and buggies traveling by.

Room - missing shade, broken shade and dented up walls Shipshewana Suite - loved the spaciousness and fireplace - best value based soley on the size of the roomHot Tub - paint seriously missing in the adult hot tubFront Office staff - awesome loved them great!!Breakfast - awesome this is what brought us back for another stayCommons areas - kept in very nice clean condition Kids programs - website talks about it - 3rd stay, still haven't experienced ANY of them.My opinion - Indianapolis, Sandusky or Chicago are better options. We are within 50 miles to Shipshewana, and I feel that the drive is warranted to one of the other locations for a better waterpark experience.

Our stay at Universal Splash in Shipshewana was wonderful. The staff was always friendly, made you feel welcomed, and the hotel was always clean. It's convenient to a lot of store's and restaurants that we visit every year when we are in town. But I would recommend that the setting area on the third floor to be monitored late at night. We returned one evening late and five children some teenagers were playing in this area, and they we staying in room's on the first floor

Upon arrival the hotel was beautiful! The check in process was quick, but finding a parking spot was not! People who came to the waterpark only took the good spots and I walked quite a way to the doors after parking. The room was not as big as it looked on the website. There were hairs on the kids' bedspreads. Hair in the sink and shower and pubic hair on the toilet. The table had a sticky substance on it, and the shelving was dusty. For a high quality hotel, I was shocked to find this many faults! I am however, a critic, so I was looking for faults. The waterpark was a lot of fun. My kids are 11 and 13 and had fun. It is geared more toward younger children around 8 to 10. They had chairs and benches to adults to sit on when not water playing with the kids. A lounge chair would have been nice. The adult hot tub often had kids in it, even though the sign said NO KIDS under 18. Overall, the waterpark was fun though, and I have no major complaints other than the hot tub.The arcade was pretty awesome, however, money can fly quickly in there. Games are 50 cents and 1.00 or more. Tickets are earned for prizes, but the money went fast. Food and service were FANTASTIC. Everyone was very friendly, i didn't pass a hotel worker without being acknowledged with a hello. I think the breakfast buffet was a little high priced for a breakfast, but there was a nice assortment or food, and even fresh made to order omelets.

The hotel is beautiful and is strictly geared for small children. I was bored. I went out shopping, but everything closes early on Saturday. None of the stores were open on Sunday because of the Sabboth (Sunday).

Very nice room, super clean, courteous & responsive staff. Outstanding breakfast buffet. Pool is nice but geared towards young children. No actual swimming area. Kids older than 7-8 may be dissapointed. Kids loved the arcade room. Staff had to wake us in the late hours due to tornado in the near vicinity - they were very professional, courteous & really made us feel that they had our best interest in mind. Would definately stay here again but would skip the pool - not worth the extra with older children.
