Date of Stay: June, 2009

Hotel is within walking distance of city center. In addition there is a trolley that can take you to any location in town. We didn't arrive until after 3pm on Sunday. The maritime and military museums were closed, but you can walk around the outside. Also the mall in center of town was full of people with shops open till 5pm. We took trolley to Liseberg amusement park, well worth the visit. The only difficulty with dinner is deciding on what restaurant to stop at, all menus looked good and prices were reasonable for Europe. Two days max is all you need for this city if your visit is longer (or if after a day you think you have seen all you need to see) can't recommend highly enough going to Marstrand which is only about a 45 minute drive away.

The hotel was being renovated, and only the lobby and the bar was finished at the time of our stay. They were very nice. The rooms and the breakfast restaurant was not renovated(to be finished early 2009) but was OK anyway. Good location, it only takes a few minutes to reach central Gothenburg by railbus.

The Spar Majorna was a great location for my needs. I had close availability to the Tram line. Their are also many good restaurants close by to dine at as well as shops to frequent.

This is an excellent hotel for 1 or 2 nights stay. It is still undergoing refurbishment so not all facilities were available. The bar area is now excellent, big improvement on before. It is a little way out of the main city centre but good location for our business needs.
