Open all year for you to explore the delights that the Lake District has to offer, its scenery changing with every season. We have Lake Windermere only 20 minutes walk, the Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter museums within a very short drive, beautiful gardens at Holker and Levens Hall. Above all, we have the splendid views and picturesque setting of all the Lakes at your disposal, yet are situated only 20 minutes drive from J36 of the M6. A choice of either a fabulous contemporary, King-sized four poster room (with a body jet shower) or Superior rooms with 18 jet Spa baths or Body Jet Shower, but all of our rooms are fully en-suite.

You will not even feel your bags get heavy!

I really enjoyed my 2 night stay at the southview.It was really clean,the staff was very helpfull,and they made you feel at home.Also the room was very clean and tidy.maybe the bathroom a bit small.And the breakfast very good,but overall a very nice place.

very convenient for railway station lots of places to eat close by. we were made very welcome, the room was very clean and well appointed, very good breakfast. very helpful staff. although the guest house is in the centre of Windermere it is in a very quiet little spot away from the main road. we will definitely stay there again.

I really enjoyed my stayat the Southview guest house, the recent refurbishment works are of a high standard and the room I stayed in was very nice. A very friendly service too. The outside of the hotel does not really tell the story of this establishment as it is a wee bit tired looking but on the whole id rather this have been on the outside than in!.I would recommend it to anyone, it is in a brilliant location for the lakes and gets a thumbs up from me and my Mrs.

Very easy to find the guest house, the cooked breakfast was first class and the people were very nice and frienly nothingwas to much troble. The weather was rubbish but we cant blame the hotel for that ha ha . We would not stay there againbecause we like to try differant places.

Great hotel, fantastic owners who made you feel very welcome, good pool & patio (would have been even better if the sun was out!). Very small & tricky car park (i clipped my bumper when first arriving), although you could leave your keys with the owners and they would manouvre your car around for you. Great rooms, with lovely powershower (although all a little small!) but felt very traditional. Overall this was a very nice hotel which i would definately recommend, i thought it was a little pricey for the room we had but i suppose you pay a higher price for a weekend in a great location with a swimming pool. Anyway if you stayed here you would definately enjoy your stay!!! thanks!

The owner who has recently taken over is very friendly and made us feel very welcome. In a great location for ease of access to local shops, bars and restaurants. The only issue with this accomadation was a very small carpark which doesn't cater for the amount of rooms - somebodys car was always going to get scraped and guess what!!!! Suggest you get there early and get a better spot than me.
