Entered room and found roaches. Room very warm and stuffy. AC ran entire time, 2 days, and still could not cool down room under high 70's. Hotel very hot during the day.

Staff and location were great. Don't have anything. Hotel was great, especially for the price I paid.

I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. First of all, I was met at the front desk by the rudest front desk person I have ever met. How this man has a job there I will never know. Every person I saw come in had words with him and complaints about him when checking out. We took turns complaining about this person to the manager in the morning. He lied to me, yelled at me, cussed at me and then told me if I had a problem with him I should "get out of this hotel. We don't want people like you here anyway." I was dressed in driving clothes, a t-shirt and knit pants but apparently I was not up to HIS dress code. Their beds are uncomfortable. I woke up with back pain. Their beds should be in a 1 star facility. I could feel the metal springs in the mattress. They do have a business center with computers, but they are the SLOWEST computers. Also, their security is a joke. Doors that are supposed to be locked and only opened with a key are either not locked, propped open or locked with the nonfunctioning key reader, so a person still has to walk all the way around the hotel in the dark to get inside. I am a physically handicapped person and did not see any handicapped parking nor was I told about any even though I have a handicapped placard and plates. Finally, they have some type of air freshener sprayer somewhere in or near the lobby. I have respiratory problems and this perfumey scent physically hurt me. I had to hold my breath to walk through the lobby.

This was a quick stay for us, but the room we booked included breakfast buffet which was very good, fresh made omlets and waffles!

The hotel was a good place to stay. I reported and AC problem and it was fixed by the time I returned from dinner. Somewhat dated in appearance, but overall a good place to stay and especially for the price I received through Orbitz.

The waitress in the restaurant is wonderful. I was in a room that smelled like cigarettes even though it was a non smoking hotel. I wasn't going to complain but I woke up with a headache in the morning. I timely complained and they graciously and quickly found me another room. They were very accommodating and didn't make me feel the least bit like a whinner the bed was great and I slept like a log.

I've stayed at the Southfork several times and each time it was clean, quiet and an overall great experience. It looks like they have solved the problem of kids hogging the computers in the business center but they still don't have a printer set up and that was a major disappointment. When I asked I they could print an airline boarding pass they did so quickly. With printer prices these days they could go to Best Buy down the street and come back with a high-quality, low cost printer in 30 minutes. Also, there still is no wireless capability in the rooms (appeared to be there but low signal strength) Again, this is now the minimum almost anywhere you stay so I hope this is fixed soon.

online travel website rates this hotel as a 3-star. I say 2-star. There is really nothing special about this hotel. The room appointments were so-so. The furniture could use a little updating. The front desk staff didn't seem hospitable. When is the hotel going to get internet in the rooms? Do I have to go to IHOP for some wi-fi?

I use Pricline and pay less than * per nite, based on other Priceliners at the bar the range is *. Location is OK to 75, but if you are in the fron of the motel the noise is load. the bar is OK and the food is Ok for motel fare. Depending on room beds can be a little old. The internet is wireless but very slow, last check on this stay it was slower than dial up. The staff is friendly, but the cleaning staff misses alot, there was still shaving hair in the sink from the morning shave when I got back to the room in the evening. It is a OK deal if you go online travel website on the cheap and that is what I use it for.

I was pleased that the room at the Southfork Hotel was nice, large and recently updated. It was quiet and clean and a good value. I would definitely recommend it and will stay there again when visiting Plano.

Well maintained, classic and attractive, and professional staff. Overall, I was very pleased with the hotel. It is a step up from a good hotel chain facility without being fussy (no bell hops to tip). The room was slightly larger than your run of the mill hotels. The facility was very attractive without being overstated. The hotel seemed to be maintained very well with quality furnishings and floor covering. It doesn't have the feel of a brand new hotel, but rather a professionally run independent and customer oriented establishment that knows what it takes to keep customers coming back. The staff, we interacted with, was adults and professional, which is something you can't take for granted these days. We were in town for a wedding and chose this hotel because it was the location for the reception. The reception had about 150-200 people in attendance and the facility. The banquet room was large and attractive. The hotel staff working the banquet were excellent and well dressed and the food was very good. Again this hotel has an upscale look and feel without being overly fussy. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Southfork Hotel was comfortable, the room was clean and spacious. Great experience; started from the moment I walked in. the staff at the front disk grreted me with a smile, very courteous and friendly. It was my first visit to Texas, and started on the right foot by the hotel's staff. I definetly would use it again

We stayed at your location while on business. There were some complications with the check in due to some internet issues. The room was comfortable and it was fairly clean. It was a good value for the price of the room. I liked the old Dallas pictures.
