The hotel sits near the Indian Ocean and offers stunning views year round. The city center is only a few minutes walk away from the hotel grounds. There is a veranda in a garden, which offers water views at the Southern Cross Beach House. Different restaurants, diners and pubs are a short drive from the hotel. Transportation to and from the airport can be arranged by special request ahead of time. The Southern Cross Beach House is also a short drive from the city rail system.

The Southern Cross Beach House is very exclusive and only has five non-smoking rooms available for lease. Every room has a satellite TV, bathtub in a private bathroom, a safe, writing desk and chair, and an IDD telephone.

This hotel is very quaint with only a few rooms, but it offers many amenities. The Southern Cross Beach House has a bar, a babysitting service for a fee, a golf course and a laundry service.
