stayed at this hotel several times and the people who run it are great!!!really friendly,its a cheap and cheerful hotel so expect what u pay for!!!!!my family love it here as its just what we want when we away with kids if u want luxury then this isnt the hotel for u!!!u get what u pay for!!! i do think the hotel is ready for new beds now and the showers sorting out!!!!ready for our stay next year!!!!

our 1 night at the south crestthe hotel was clean but the walls were paper thin, also we rang beforehand to ask about parking, we were told it was first come to the parking spaces, when we arived there was parking spaces but was told our people carrier would hamper the walkway, so we parked quite a way away on rigby road, when we got back there was a people carrier parked in the hotel car park, seems your face has to fit

Room clean but not suitable for a family of four, room far to small thank goodness we where only staying for one night.When booking it stated that the room was a spacious family room, this was not so.Expensive for what it was.Would not stay again.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.we booked it because we wanted to stay on the front somewhere between south and central pier.the couple who own this hotel are a lovely couple.our room was decent sized,till you tried to fit in the bathroom.you had to squeeze your bum past sink area to go loo.good job we arent big people or we wouldnt have been able to use the loo.no plug in sink so couldnt wash properly because the water was burning hot out of tap.good job our daughter is 11yrs because a small child could be scoulded by the water.we booked for 3 nights but then a couple of days before going we booked an extra night,so that meant 4 nights without a shower.because the water that come out of the shower was only a dribble and was so hot it would scold you.thermostat must not have been working on it because if you tried to turn temperature down,nothing happened only way was to either turn shower off at power switch on wall and have a cold shower or scold yourself in a really hot one.we went to sandcastle swimming and had a good shower there instead.now has for the beakfast ,according to the website breakfast is between 8.30 and 9.30.well it wasnt when we got there she said breakfast is 9 to 9.30.but most of the time you got down at 9 and they didnt start serving it while 9.10 .also we wasnt asked once if we wanted a full breakfast it was just put in front of us.though we did see a couple tell them before they served the breakfast that there daughter wanted boiled egg and they did that for her.so if you want something differant to a cooked breakfast make sure you tell them when they ask if you want tea or coffee. the breakfast consisted of 1 sausage ,1 egg ,2 bacon(or 1 bacon for a child), beans and either a tomato or hash brown(none given to child).one day it was tomato then next ash brown.they served you tea or coffee which they did ask you and 1 toast per person.though you could ask for more toast.though even the toast was left by us one day because the container it came

Run by plesant couple,very dated hotel that needs new comfy beds! Was expected to feed 1 year old in pram because of no high chair. Food was good.

The room was tiny and very seventies! We found loads of rubbish under the bed empty bottles and stuff. My other half took a shower and the steam set the fire alarm off. If your looking for comfort and cleanliness give this place a miss! If your looking for somewhere to sleep and can't find a vacant cardboard box, this is your place!!!

Hotel in great location. Very friendly family hotel. Good breakfast. Only slight downside was shower didn't work very well.
