South Seas Island Resort is a 330-acre full service destination resort on tropical Captiva Island in Southwest Florida, combining a natural wonderland with modern resort amenities and accommodations. Offering many styles and sizes of accommodations including guestrooms, one to three bedroom villas, and spacious private homes, the Resort is well suited for all sized parties.

Whether looking for a variety of activities or complete relaxation, South Seas Island Resort provides it all. Tennis, golfing on our 9-hole Gulf-front Executive course, and an extensive water sports program including kayak tours, boating and parasailing, are all available on property. Or, enjoy miles of private sugar sand beaches or spend the day at The Pointe with two lagoon style pools, complete with private cabanas overlooking Pine Island Sound. Kids and kids at heart love the new H2Whoa pool with two fun water slides. For relaxation, the Kay Casperson Spa is located at the south end of the resort, providing special pampering with a complete spa treatment menu.

The Ships Store - Located in the north end of the resort near Harbourside Marina offering marine provisions, grocery selections, South Seas logo'd resort apparel and a fresh sandwich shop. Seating is available on the deck and promenade and is open to all resort and marina guests.

The Captiva Provision Company - Our gourmet store and deli offers over-fresh breakfast panini's, lunch sandwiches prepared to order and daily dinner specials. The shelves are stocked with the finest Imported gourmet offerings, candies, pastries and chocolates. Also offering a wide variety of unique prepared salads, soups, entrees and gift baskets. Scoops and Slices - Located next to the Pointe, taking fun food to the next level, creating an enjoyable experience for the entire family. With floor to ceiling sweets, table and counter service as well as take-out.

Starbucks - Located at the south end of the resort, In addition to brewed and espresso beverages, our Starbucks also serves tea, bottled beverages and delicious pastries.

Holy Smokes - Located at the south end of the resort, offering great take-out barbeque.

The Pointe - Located at the north end of the resort, The Pointe has an island look and Caribbean Grille menu for the entire family to enjoy. Offering breakfast from 8:00am to 11:00am and a light lunch from 11:30am to 6:00pm. Enjoy sweeping views of Pine Island Sound while overlooking our signture pool and cabana complex. Harbourside Bar and Grille - Located on the north end of the resort overlooking the picturesque Yacht Harbour. Open for dinner daily and serves cocktails. What are your breakfast options?: Harbourside Bar and Grille also serves a breakfast buffet from 8:00 am until 11:00 am. The breakfast buffet is approximately $12.00 for children and $17.00 for adults.
Where can we dine?: Dining at South Seas Island Resort is varied. Harbourside Bar and Grill overlooking the YachtHarbour offers "Florida comfort food," a kid’s buffet and signature cocktails including the delicious "Captiva Diva". The Point offers an island lunch fare while overlooking the main pool complex and Pine Island Sound. Located next to The Pointe is Scoops & Slices serving a wide selection of Edy’s ice cream, pizza and retro candy in a 1950s diner setting. The Ship’s Store offers carry-out coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and salads. In SouthVillage, visit Holy Smoke Heavenly Barbecue featuring South Seas’ "Better Burger" and down home barbecue beef, chicken, and pork cooked on a real smoker grill. Other options include Starbucks and The Captiva Provision Company, a market stocked with essential grocery items and gourmet fare available for in-residence dining or outdoor barbecuing.
What transport is available to get around?: Unfortunately, we do not offer a complimentary shuttle from South West Florida International Airport. We recommend several highly reputable transportation companies that we have used for years. Their prices are generally between $60 - $120 for a one way trip, depending on the amount of travelers and if you stop along the way to shop.

They will need your arrival date and time, flight number, the number of people in your party, a credit card number as confirmation and a cellphone for a contact number.

You do not need a car on our resort as we have trolleys that run from 7:00am until 11:00pm. If you would like to rent a car for the day, you can set that up with Hertz on property. We do have local taxis and shuttles that will transport guests to nearby attractions on Sanibel and Fort Myers.

We also have bike rentals available during your stay and those can be reserved at the time of check-in for a special rate of $5/day/bike.
What can I do nearby?: South Seas Island Resort is located on the Northern tip of CaptivaIsland and offers over two miles of beautiful shell-strewn beaches. Our guests enjoy a wide variety of accommodations, dining experiences, and recreational activities including water-sports, cruises, sailing, power boat rental and fishing. The resort also features a nine-hole golf course, an eleven court tennis center with four courts lit for night play, a fitness center and spa and a spectacular new lagoon pool complex overlooking Pine Island Sound. We have a full service recreation department offering a variety of activities for kids, teens and families including carnival days, movie nights, nature tours, crafts, games and sports. Kids of all ages will love our game room arcade and new pool complex complete with two huge water slides.
Do you have internet?: We offer Wi-Fi service throughout most of the resort and that includes the individual units. It is provided through AT&T’s Wayport Wireless access points. You will receive an internet coupon code upon check-in the will provide you access to the wireless network. Wi-Fi is included in the resort fee of $15.00 per adult per day.
