Soneva Kiri is on the island of Koh Kood on the eastern coast of Thailand. It is Thailands fourth largest but least populated island, remote but now accessible. Soneva Kiri has a private 8 seater plane, just an hour flight from Bangkok International airport. Koh Kood is famed for its pure waterfalls, crystal clear waters, and traditional village life. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty with lush, verdant, tropical jungle and pristine beaches. The resorts 29 private villas sit either on the beach, or on the sun dazed slopes amongst the rainforest gazing over the Gulf of Siam. Each is generously large offering complete privacy and every level of five star luxury and comfort. The resort has been built following Six Senses signature of design, making the lightest possible footprint on the environment and blending seamlessly into its natural surroundings. Only natural and sustainable building materials have been used, resulting in the rustic chic, no news, no shoes barefoot luxury which is the Soneva standard.

Food and wine is of exemplary standard and the team of chefs use only the freshest ingredients, locally grown or sourced, often from the resorts own organic fruit and vegetable gardens. Soneva Kiri also has Benz restaurant, a small dwelling amongst the mangroves, accessed only by boat and lit by fireflies and candles. It is the name restaurant of Khun Benz, who has returned from 10 years at Soneva Fushi in Maldives, who cooks whatever she picks from the market that day - the results often acclaimed as the best Thai food in Thailand.

There is much to do at Soneva Kiri, from the children Den, a bamboo structure in the shape of a Manta Ray, complete with draw - bridge to keep out adults, to every water sport and excellent diving and snorkeling, to cooking classes, an observatory, sun set cruises, day trips to neighboring islands and guided jungle treks, to watching classic movies on the big screen at Cinema Paradiso.

Rates are based on double occupancy. Charges for extra adults may apply and will be due directly to the hotel. All Six Senses Thai properties are operating as normal and remain unaffected by the recent flooding. The resorts are well away from the affected central and northern provinces. Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport, Phuket airport and Samui airport are operating as normal and all guests can travel without delays or risk.
