We tried to stay at a 4 star hotel to see if it was worth it. They gave us what they call a "superior" which is a tiny room with king bed with no bacony, fed parking meter every 3 hours to save $25 a day valet fee, carpet dirty leading into room, good bed with huge flat TV which was too big for the room. So overall we felt we paid way too much for a below average small room.

Wonderful Hotel. Clean, awesome views from the balcony, stay on the bay side. Issue #1, all of the travel sites list that there is a shuttle service that takes you to a sister hotel and or the Beach...not true. I booked this hotel partly because of the alleged shuttle service, I did not want to rent a car, but ended up spending more than if I did, but I would have gotten lost anyway. It is a great hotel, just rent a car or be ready to pay. Coco walk is OK, but not as good as the reviews had me believing. In retrospect, if I were going to this over again I would probably book somethiing in Bayside - it's close to the airport, Miami Beach, downtown and you can walk to bayside for shopping, dining and bay cruises or fishing boat charters. Live and learn.

The location was excellent for our purposes. Valet parking was difficult and took too long. Great hotel in an excellent area for a fun weekend in South Florida. Lots to do and see.

We stayed overnight at the Sonesta. The room was impeccable, the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed we have ever slept in, troom service was delicious. We truly loved the location of the hotel and there is a public parking garage right next door which saved us a lot on valet parking. Walkling distance from Cocowalk and all the great shopping and restaurants. We stayed on a Friday night so we did hear the party sounds of Miami in the background, but unless you have a newborn, you'll sleep like a baby regardless. The staff was very helpful and helped printed out directions to a near by attraction. It exceeded all our expectations! Truly recommend this awesome hotel.

The location was fabulous. Our room was quite small. Hotel was great. Lobby is lovely, people are friendly. Valets were great. Parking is a bit expensive, but that seems the norm in this area. Our room was small, but the others that we were traveling with had a bigger room witha balcony.

The Sonesta was a very nice hotel with reasonable rates. Our room was a bit small, but everything was super clean and the staff were outstandingly courteous and helpful. Compared to the Miami Beach hotels, the prices here are much more reasonable. It is located in coconut Grove about fifteen minutes from the beaches, but only one block from the Coconut Grove shopping area. Just five minutes from your hotel, you can find an assortment of restaurants, bars, stores boutiques and cinemas. Caution: If you stray more than four or five blocks south of the hotel, you will find yourself in some lower income neighborhoods with potential security risks.

The Sonesta Bayfront has gorgeous views of the southern Miami area. The rooms are beautifully appointed, very clean, and have comfortable beds. The hotel restaurant staff were very engaging; there are also many restaurants to choose from in the immediate area. The University of Miami is just a short drive away.

Very nice attentive staff. Too austere and modern in decor for my tastes. The Sonesta was very clean and well run. The rooms were commodious. Views were good of the surroundings. The restaurants were attractive as was the 8th floor pool area.

We REALLY enjoyed our stay here!! The staff was wonderful...I mean above and beyond wonderful. The room was small, I'll admit, but VERY comfortable. There was a full kitchen, which was very handy for wine, leftovers, etc. The bed was very comfortable and the bathoom was roomy and clean. The true gem, though, was the balcony! The view from our room was AMAZING! I suggest paying the little extra for a bay view...it's SPECTACULAR! The location of this hotel is great, too. Just down the street is the CocoWalk...full of neat bars, restaurants, and shopping. If you're looking for a great place to eat, try the Cafe TuTu Tango...AWESOME! There's also a small marina within walking distance with a great patio restaurant with a view of the water. I would recommend this hotel a million times...excellent service, location, and quality!

THE SAFE IN THE ROOM DIDN'T WORK THEY SENT SOMEONE TO FIX IT AND IT STILL DIDN'T WORK THEN WE TOOK OUR VALUABLES DOWN TO THE FRONT DESK AND THEY SAID THEY ONLY HAD SAFES IN THEIR ROOMS!!! it was weird to have a ref. and oven in the hotel room and the air conditioner made noise all night!!!

Fabulous location/views, terrific service, impeccable rooms! Wonderful! The neighborhood you pass to get to the hotel from the highway is so-so, at best. We were so incredibly lucky to get a reservation at this lovely hotel via priceline. My family and I took a very special, and last minute, trip to Miami for the Sony Ericsson Open in March. We absolutely loved the Coconut Grove area, walked right to the shops/restaurants at night - and the Soonest Bay-front hotel. Well, it was truly one of the many highlights! The rooms were amazing (modern, clean, comfortable), the view was beautiful, and the service was TERRIFIC (lady at the front-desk checked us in and she really took care of us - and the valets/bell hops were super too). The pool overlooked the beautiful Biscayne Bay - as did our room which had a balcony. This is a super hotel! I would stay there again.

I arrived at 3 pm and my room was already ready for me. the staff was very nice and helful. the room was spacious. I stood in the bayview suite. the view took my breath away and the balcony was amazing......the bed was very comfortable...Great location. Starbucks is right down the street and shopping was everywhere. The food at the restaurant on the 8th floor was ok. I expected better for such expensive prices. Shopping was great and the prices were amazing. the food was expensice everywhere. the only place that had great prices was this burger joint on the corner. the food was great and the shakes were awesome. Walking around was so much fun. Very comfortable environment. I made a mistake of leaving the sliding doors open from the balcony and was attacked by mosquitos but i called the help desk and they sent me bug spray and it helped a bit. The pool was relaxing and not packed at all. My only complaint would be is that the staff wasnt fast enough when i requested extra supplies for my stay. Maybe its a new york thing and i expect things to be given to me fast. The beach is very far away about 30 cab away going and coming. my overall stay is completely satisfied. I am actually booking another trip at that same hotel.

comparing to another hotel this is very clean and price was great. Staff is very friendly. They will greet you going in and out. Everything was excellent. I will suggest this hotel to everyone.Only valet parking was little high * a day.

The Sonesta Bayfront hotel was very clean and in a neat area. Right next to the marina and shopping less than a block away. One of the downfalls was that the area right outside of coconut beach was not safe. There was a lot of noise outside of the hotel between 11pm until 4am. The overall experience was just okay. It was around 8 miles to the nearest beach.
