I had some issues with the internet coneection which took a while to get sorted. Apart from this the hotel was very good

Good central location with good sized room and self contained, but had to ask for a frying pan to use, our room did not have any pots or pans in the kitchen to cook anything on the stove but is meant to be self contained? Overall it was a very clean, tidy and comfortable room, very central location to all the shops and transport and easy to get around. Would consider staying there again next time - depends on price as can be costly.

Very inadequate not to have room serviced on a Sunday, especially when this is the only full day we had in the hotel. Breakfast facilities and cost was disgraceful.

We really enjoyed our stay at Somerset on Elizabeth Melbourne. Reception staff were always friendly and helpful. The apartment was well serviced. We considered the rates very competitive (second week of Oz open) and the location is ideal. We hope to return for the Oz open next year.

The two bedroom apartment was well equipped and spacious. Only quibble was that it would have been ideal to have two ensuites instead of only one with the second bathroom off the kitchen area. The location was so handy to the major shops and other facilities. We would be happy to stay again.

Great location had top floor rear unit. No noise easy lifts free papers, just ask for variety of pillows. Highly recommended

The girl on reception didn't smile when we checked in. Other staff members were friendlier though. When we arrived the TV kept turning off. We had to have two people come and fiddle with it. The internet connection didn't work, so we had to have someone look at that and found out that only the second bedroom internet connection worked. There was mould in the shower recess - a bit of a put off. But my main gripe was the NOISE. We were on the highest level (10) and the street noise was terrible at night. I had to buy ear plugs for the rest of the stay. If you are a light sleeper, do not stay here. On the positive side, the hotel is very conveniently located, room size is good and decor simple but modern.

I would have been extremely disappointed to be paying full price for this accommodation. The room was well set out,but very dark. The kitchen faciliites were very good, although only UHT milk was availbale. ( 24hr convenience store across the road was well stocked for our needs) The bath room was poorly miantained , mould in the shower and the water was barely warm despite having the hot water on full . They offer a pillow menu, at $50 deposit per pillow. We were not able to get our 1st choice , and our second choice only arrived after 3 calls to housekeeping. The position is excellent for shopping, access to trams at the front door. Reception staff were friendly, other staff that we encountered during our stay, in lifts, foyers restaurants etc efficient but not overly helpful. Overall - Average - saving grace was HotelClub rate and location.

The staff were very helpful and no request was too difficult. Great location right in the hub of Melbourne and trams easily accessible. Will definately stay there again.
