Set in Melbourne’s CBD (City Center) is the charming brick structure known as the Somerset Gordon Place Hotel. Within easy distance of the State Houses of Parliament and wonderful shopping areas crowded along Collins and Little Collins Streets, the hotel is also a primary location for a wide exploration of the entire city. Its centralized setting is also an ideal spot for business travelers to select as well.

What are your breakfast options?: Breakfast is located off-site at a cafe called Twenty Seconds Cafe. It is a Continental breakfast for AUD $15 per person. The cafe opens everyday at different times:

- Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 7:00pm
- Saturdays from 8:00am to 6:00pm
- Sundays from 8:30am to 6:00pm

Breakfast is served till 12:00pm. If guests prefer to have breakfast in another cafe, there is a cafe called European which serves really good hot breakfast.
What transport is available to get around?: To get the city, market and beach, there are trams and a train station located near the hotel. There are trams running along Bourke Street which is a 5 minutes’ walk away from the hotel. There is also Parliament train station which is also 5 minutes walk from the hotel. To get to and from the airport, you can catch a taxi which costs around AUD$50 to $60 one way or a Skybus (airport shuttle). If you decide to use Skybus shuttle services, they have a 10-minute frequency from the airport to Southern Cross Station, and then free hotel transfer to the hotel. Ticketing is available on arrival at the airport and costs are $16 per adult one-way, or $26 per adult return.
What can I do nearby?: Somerset Gordon Place is located near Spring Street and Chinatown. There are the Princess Theatre and Her Majesty’s Theatre which is 5 minutes' walk from the hotel. Chinatown is around 5 minutes' walk from the hotel as well. To get to the shopping district, it is around 10 minutes' walk to the Bourke Street Mall.
Do you have internet?: Internet is complimentary, however there is a limit of 500MB per day. If it exceeds the 500MB limit, there is a 25 cents charge per MB. It is cable broadband in each rooms, however there is wireless internet only in the courtyard area. Cables will be provided in each room.
Do you provide parking?: Car parking is located off-site at 150 Lonsdale Street (Wilson's parking). It is a 10 minute walk to and from the hotel. The car parking costs $25 per day or 24 hours (whichever comes first). It is best to drop off your bags at reception and park your car.
