Transportation:

Take the road direction Torremolinos (N-340) and after passing the Airport (or leaving it, following direction Torremolinos Cádiz (N-340), drive on the right-hand-lane. Soon you will see a blue pedestrian-bridge that crosses the road. Be prepared to take a turn-off to the right, direction (A-366) Churriana Alhaurín Coín that comes up after 100 meters. You will come to a roundabout with a Burger King to your left. Take the first exit, direction Alhaurín de la Torre (A-366).Now continue straight on, at all the roundabouts you are about to encounter, direction Alhaurín de la Torre (A-366). Follow straight through the village. Towards the end of the village, on the right, you will see a BP-petrol station. Continue and at the next roundabout, take the first exit, direction Málaga ? Coín (A-366). Keep driving straight ahead at the following 2 roundabouts and soon you will see the yellow flags of the Sol Andalusí Complex. Turn left after the flags, on the smaller road, uphill, and enter the complex through the main-entrance gate.

We stayed for two nights in the main hotel complex we enjoyed our stay an the food in the resturaunt was great , service was good also .I did get a theraputic massage in the spa at a cost of 38 euro, for 30 min but to be honest it was a dissapointment .Other than that i would recommend the hotel for a 2 night break as its quite a distance from any other resturaunts ar bars.

The hotel was signposted very clearly throughout Alhaurin and was easy to find although anyone using Sat Nav will find it is not yet on the map. Ring ahead for directions to pick up the signs and/or download the map off their web site.The reception was very friendly and helpful but be aware this is not a normal hotel. We were in one of the brand new buildings which is in fact one of many new parts of the complex which make up this spa. You have to drive to your building and park there. When you check in don't take your bags out of the car yet.The room we had was actually an apartment with fully fitted kitchen including washing machine, fridge, freezer, microwave etc. Luxury bathroom with 4 piece suite, lounge, balcony. It was excellent. Only thing missing was lightbulbs from the bedside lamps.The outdoor pools are lovely. Very well supervised, plenty of loungers and a bar by the side of the one nearest to the main body of the hotel.The restaurant is very good value and serves great food. If you order the chargrilled squid don't expect to get a few rings of meat. You get the whole squid. A monster meal and superbly cooked.The only negative is that you really need to plan to drive if you want to eat or drink somewhere else. The hotel is about 1 mile from the nearest part of town. That said everything you need is on campus.We were very suprised by this unconventional hotel. There is clearly still building work going on but it was unobtrusive and did not spoil our stay at all. Definitely worth a visit and we would go again for certain.

The directions from the airport were good, but slighly out of date as the road number had changed to A404. We were disappointed that our rooms were not ready by 2.00pm, however the hotel staff did allow to stay an hour longer the next day. They were also accomodating in allowing us to leave our cases.It would have been useful to have a stater pack in the apartments just for tea/coffee etc or the shop opens for longer hours.A drinks bar nearer the pool would have been good as it was a long trek to the bar in the hotel. The bar food took forever as the bar person served drinks as well as prepared the food.It is more of an apartment building rather than a hotel.

Hotel front desk staff were ok but didn't seem to really care about customers. Your room may or may not be serviced during your stay depending on the contract the room/apt owner has with the resort. We did not receive fresh towels during our 2 night stay and after we had asked for and been given towels at the pool they tried to charge a rental fee for them.Room was very clean and well appointed though the glass topped table was minus its glass and therefore unusable.There is ongoing construction of new rooms in the complex though we were not disturbed by it. The on-site mini-market was closed on Saturday evening when we arrived even though it was advertised as being open. This may have been because of the time of year. The hotel is very remote from all facilities so a car is essential.

Hotel was good. It was being built at the time of arrival so not all available. More of an apartment than a hotel room. Food & staff were great. Would stay again and was nicer than a mad hotel scramble on the rest of the coast.
