The decor, amenities, staff, comfort -- everything is superior. SoHo Grand is a beautiful, well- kept, funky hotel. It's not your usual bestwestern BS. Rooms are roomy (for NYC), furniture is art deco-ish (as well as the entire hotel). Staff is helpful enough not to look like they're not New Yorkers. Food and drinks are great. I would definitely come back again. Had a great time staying there.

Great location and staff. A bit pricey, but overall pleasant experience from the initial champagne toast on arrival.

I think this is fine for people that don't mind spending a lot of money for a little room with a curtained armoire for a closet next to the bed. I did like the decor and loved the location so if all I did was sleep, I could have done so for less money

Only complaint was wireless internet was spotty and there was not desk to do work at just a small round table. Not conducive to business travel but would be great for personal.

Hotel was amazing. Location was perfect in SoHo. The staff jumped anytime you needed anything and were so friendly to help. The rooms were a little small but hey that's NY. We even got a Goldfish for our room to keep us company. Would definitely return.

Hotel is in a great area of town, right off Chinatown, Little Italy, and Greenwich Village. 15 minutes walk to either Battery Park/Ground Zero/Financial District in one direction or Union Square in the other. The rooms are small, but the bed linens, towels, etc. are high quality and very comfortable. The hotel is pricey, but this is to be expected in this part of town. Very chic.

The public areas were not air conditioned and it was very hot. They also did not have any king rooms available. I will say that the management accommodated our need for a king room for our sons after telling us that there were not any available and we appreciated that.

I stayed here for one night on a business trip. The staff was very good, as was the restaurant. The rooms were small but nice. There is some sort of outdoor nightclub next door and there was a pary of some sort next door that was fairly loud and went late. I had earplugs so it was not a problem. Anyway, it is a fine place to stay.

The hotel was in an excellent location for NY shopping and night life. In addition, the room was great and the staff incredibly friendly and professional.

The hotel was just ok, although I would never go there again. They don't allow 3 people in a room, and the only room that is big enough for a roll away bed. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I really liked the hotel, the location and the uptown view. The staff was also very nice. I've stayed in many NY hotel rooms and even though I liked this hotel allot and the location, the rooms were too small for 2 people to live comfortably for more than a couple of nights. And we are very small people. I'm sure the hotel offers larger rooms for more money but not sure how much more money, though.

Unless you like to sleep with earplugs, this hotel is not for you. Between the horns honking outside and the people talking, smoking and partying in the hallways inside, I hardly slept-and that was on the tenth floor, not a low floor.

Deal Soto location for a long Manhattan weekend getaway. Just 15 minutes from midtown shopping via the ACE and 456 subways along Canal St. However smallish rooms may make it difficult for family stays. Hang out in the 2nd floor lobby bar to practice your Italian, Spanish and Japanese with the hotel's international guests colored Arman sunglasses a must. And bring your CDC's as all rooms feature Bose waveform CD players. Shop, party hard and wake up full of energy as the beds are second to none. Industrial iron decor fits in well with the Rand's location. 15 Minute walk from Century 21 shopping, Ground Zero and Chinatown. . . oh, and the 24-hour coffee is great.

Perfect location near Chinatown, Sotho, Tribes, and convenient to Canal St. subway station. Service is great as it should be at a 4 star hotel. Nice property.

Great location, incredibly nice staff. Only draw back was that the lobby on the second floor doubled as a restaurant and you couldn't go in and relax and watch the world go by. Wanted to sit and read one afternoon, and was told I had to go into the bar room, which was not as comfortable, and it was loud at 4 in the afternoon.

The staff was friendly, but clearly more used to dealing with downtown guests than uptown tourists like us. The location allowed us to drive into the city easily through the Holland, but also placed us above the tunnel entrance with a substantial amount of traffic noise. If you want to be in Soho or have business downtown, the location is unbeatable. However, we prefer a warmer environment with amenities & advice more geared toward shows, museums, and good cheap eats. We'll stay in midtown on our next visit to NYC.
