Very nice room, exceptionally clean. One of the nicest hotels I have stayed at. My only issue is that there was no gym. The hotel is associated with a gym, but still had to pay (a steep fee) to get in.

The staff went out of their way to place us on the same floor. Both concierges were excellent. Long walk from Old Montreal, used the subway. Friendly courteous staff, went beyond what they had to do for us at the front desk. The 2 gentleman at the concierge desk were excellent. The bar's decor, layout and service were above average.

The Sofitel is amazing. Great location. right on Sherbooke and 2 blocks away from St. Catherine for shopping. The Hotel has a very warm european modern feel. The beds are the most comfortable that i have ever slept in, in a hotel. I would definetly reccomend this hotel for a weekend away or a business trip!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sofitel August 30 to September 3. The staff was very professional and friendly. The room was large with contemporary furnishings and a glass shower the length of the bathroom. The comforter was a little too hot for us, but that was the only complaint. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant, the Renoir, but did have snacks and drinks on the terrace. Try the fruit salad or the cheese plate of Ontario cheeses--excellent! The hotel is about 2 blocks from the Musuem of Arts. Not as encompassing as the one in New York, but worth seeing. You can't go wrong staying here!

Excellent accommodations. Loved everything about the hotel from the reception staff to the impeccably furnished and clean room. The location is the best. My only comment is that the lobby is not quite indicative of the luxury of this hotel. We will definitely be back.

The staff went above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. We liked everything! From the moment you walk in the lobby, there are pleasant faces and fabulous decor. The seating area is euro cool with music to match. In addition to the excellent service, the hotel staff provided us with great ideas on ways to spend our day in Montreal. We highly recommend this hotel!

I stayed here with a biking friend on a 3 day motorcycle trip. The staff was great, the room was excellent, and the spa was first rate. Just what we were looking for!

The hotel is lovely and inviting, clean and contemporary. The rooms are sleek; the bedding is exquisite. Floor to ceiling windows give tons of light with great city views. The staff want to please. The only negative comments I can make are that the in-room fees are exorbitant ($17 for an in-room movie.) They have a weird system for the refrig. It is stocked with snacks and drinks, but you cannot put your own articles in it because it has a sensor that detects when you take something out of the refrig and it automatically bills you for it! (i.e., my doggie bag!) Drinks at the hotel restaurant/bar, Renoir, are outrageous---$15 for a draft and $16 for a cocktail. Aside from these minor distractions from the overall wonderful experience, we got a great deal on Orbitz and would definitely recommend it without any hesitation.

Superb linens, sharp decor, top notch location. Restaurant was good but somewhat overpriced. Impeccable service, luxurious linens, well appointed and generous rooms, very sleek hotel in the heart of the golden mile, close to all major shopping areas.A wonderful refuge.

The location was perfect, being only 1 block from the subway stop. Also, there were a large number of restaurants and shops nearby. The concierges were very helpful and there were no questions that they could not answer.

This is a beautiful hotel with great art and decor throughout. The rooms are spacious and cozy with down comforters and feather beds. I would definitely stay again!

Modern rooms with an excellent view and luxurious amenities. Close to all shopping, clubs, bars, etc.Modern health club facilities and world class massage therapists available. Will always stay at this hotel for future visits.

hotel was in good shape and room was nice and a good value for the money. however room requested (2 double beds) was unavailable at checkin and front desk insisted that I had booked a room with one king bed (though relented when shown printed confirmation). ended up on a smoking floor, which had an overpowering smell of tobacco.
