We stayed at Sofitel Athens after spending two weeks in Greece before heading back home. It was the most comfortable bed we slept in the entire time and you can't beat the location. Our flight left early in the morning and required that we wake up at 4:00 AM. It was unbelievable that the restaurant was open at 4:00 for breakfast. And, just being able to grab our bags and walk across the street was unbeatable. I would recommend this location to anybody traveling through Athens.

When we reserved this hotel we have specifically chosen the rate that included Free Internet Access, as advertised. When we checked in, the receptionist told us that they have free Internet access in a lobby for 15 minutes only. To have Internet in a room we had to pay additional 18 Euros. Even when we have shown our reservation to hotel manager (who didn't introduce himself) they didn't honor it. The general attitude of the hotel management and stuff was inflexible and narrow-minded. They insisted on risking the reputation of their hotel chain for 18 Euros! And they blamed an Internet booking site for this false advertisement.

We booked this room due to a 7AM flight back to the US. The hotel is directly across from the airport and we turned in our rental car and were able to walk to the airport. The location was perfect. The rooms are tired and the halways are in need of being redone.. The carpets in the halways were dirty and stained. The wallpaper was torn and discolored...it's really a sin. The rooms are small, even by European standards. . With a little work this hotel could be back to its original 5 star rating.

Hotel overpriced. Room was not large and the restaurant food was average and ridiculously overpriced. They even charged for the water with your meal.

After flying in from Cyprus early evening this was the perfect spot to relax and sleep in preparation for the next day's long haul to California. Buy some wine at duty free, order the cheese platter from room service, and lie back amid the comfy bed linens and dreamy pillows.

Choose the hote for its location because of a very early morning flight to save time. bit more expensive then other hotels, but you save cab fares and a lot of time. definitely worth it.

Great location. Excellent staff. Pretty good food (but pricey). But for the price, they could provide free wireless, or at the very least, not charge for internet service. It is a small price on their part for a big benefit for those of us traveling and dependent on the internet for communication. Mattress was rather soft and worn. Again, though, very professional and friendly staff.

We stayed for one night after visiting Greek Islands, before a flight the next day back to the US. The hotel was very clean, modern, and extremely convenient to the airport. The gym and pool are small, but handy.

This is the very best way to stay overnight in Athens so that you can catch a morning flight. So convenient, just walk over to the terminal!! Great, clean, comfortable, small but luxurious rooms.

Superior room, Perfect location. Pre-paid thru cheap tickets so it was all slick as glass. Checked in late (after 10 pm) and checked out early (6 am), all smooth. Didn't eat at restaurant, but open when we arrived and when we left.

Location couldn't possibly be more convenient to the airport. It's a tightly run ship. Room could have used a little updating, but it was quiet and the bed was OUTSTANDING. Dinner in the downstairs restaurant was reasonable very, very good. They were selling the upstairs French restaurant hard. Overall, the Sofitel more than met expectations.

I had a stopover in Athens and used it to spend a day in the city and fly out in the morning. I've chosen this hotel to be able to sleep a bit longer, not worrying about the morning traffic. The room was a bit pricey compared to many city hotels but in this case I felt that peace of mind was worth the extra expense. Although this hotel is within 2-min walk from the terminal, the sound proofing was great, I did not hear any airport noise. The personnel was nice and helpful: when I asked for Internet access late at night, they simply gave me a code valid for free 15 min, so I could quickly check my E-mail. A very nice feature is two extra programs on the room TV that list the departing and arriving flights with gate info. The only thing I didn't like was the minibar: a bunch of small liquor bottles but no water or juice. I ended up boiling myself some tea.

This was an unusually good hotel for an airport hotel. It is literally a one minute walk from the terminal, and is fully equipped with an indoor pool and exercise room, a top quality restaurant as well as cafe and bar. The rooms are spacious and very clean and the bed quite comfortable. Service was courteous and accommodating.My one criticism is that the restaurants are a bit on the pricey side.

We had an early morning flight out and this was the perfect location - directly across the street from the ticket check-in. The room was spacious and the bed was very, very comfortable. The hotel restaurant and bar were also very nice.
