We arrived at 2:00 and told that check-in was 4:. The website featured a nice swimming pool. The pool was closed (this is the middle of summer). We checked and found another hotel (pool was great) and booked it. We called Cheap Tickets and told of our situation and asked for a refund and cancellation. We were transferred to the hotel and they said they needed to call their supervisor who would return our call - never happened!

Two room suites with full kitchen. Great value in Big Bear. Not 5 star, but very well worth it. Friendly staff.

I liked the fireplaces and the cozyness. I might want a larger television or flat panel. The hotel was very cozy and located right in the best area of Big Bear city in regards to restaurants and activities. If it's skiing in the winter or boating in the summmer, this is the place.

I have learned a very valuable lesson, the old saying "Don't judge a book by it's cover" holds true in this case. My room/suite was perfect in every way. Kudos to the housekeeper [...]. The room was spotless and all the little details to welcome the guest did not go unnoticed.

My boyfriend and I do NOT recommend staying at this lodge!The description of the place is highly exaggerated!First of all, the front desk is only open until 7pm. Check-in is between 4 and 7.If you come after 7,tough luck.Everything is closed,including the "recreation room", which is not really a recreation room! Anyways,the front desk receptionist was really unfriendly upon check-in.She was really grumpy and didnt even smile at us once!The rooms are big,and they come with a small kitchen.Thats the only good thing we can think of. The pool outside was tiny and dirty - and closed anyway! The "spa" which they mention in the description is a little jacuzzi that fits two people.Not very romantic loaction,very old looking!If you want to go to Big Bear Village,you will need to get into the car. It is not walking distance. Check-out is at 11am sharp! We were packing our last itmes at 11:10 am when we received an unfriendly call from the front desk asking why we were still in the room!!! Upon check-out,front desk receptionist didnt even say thank you when we returned the key.Neither did she ask how our stay was.Nothing at all,not even a goodbye!! In summary,we would NOT go back to this lodge (even though we only paid $80/night!). Neither would we recommend it to anybody! The description of the lodge is completely wrong!

The Snow Lake Lodge was much nicer than I anticipated! We got the 1 bedroom suite which had a private bed and bathroom. There was another bathroom off the living room and 2 fireplaces. A perfect set up for a couple and 1 or 2 kids, as there was a queen size pull-out bed in the living room. The kitchen was spotless and had all the amenities we needed. The office had a lounge area, which served a nice continental breakfast. A great weekend get-away. The price was lower than its competitors in the neighborhood! The Hacienda Mexican restaurant is within walking distance and has excellent food.

This lodge is your typical dated timeshare; the extra rooms are apparently made available for you and me. You get a lot of value for your money ... 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, 2 fireplaces, etc. However, the rooms, furnishings, and fixtures are getting old. The wear and tear of so many guests is showing ... for example, some dresser drawers were broken, which I didn't really care about since there were so many drawers. There's a DVD player, but you'll need to ask for the remote at the front desk. The bathrooms have carpet, which I'm never real happy to see in a hotel, especially with my kids who seem to spend more time on the ground than they do on their feet. The continental breakfast was uninspiring. Again, this is a great value for the money, and it's in a nice location just outside of the village.

Our family was very pleased with the accomodations and friendlyness of this hotel. We will definately be staying there again sometime. Very friendly staff with lots of fun activities for the kids. Had a great time. The room was very spacious, felt like a home away from home. I would reccomend this facility to a friend or family who is looking for a reasonably priced hotel with great ammenities.
