Sleep Inn at Carowinds is conveniently located just off I-77 and directly across the street from Paramount's Carowinds. This is also the perfect location to enjoy baseball at Knight's Castle, basketball at Charlotte Coliseum, football at Ericsson Stadium, and NASCAR racing at Lowes Motor Speedway. We specified non smoking but got a smoking room. Ants and at least on spider in room. Phone did not work.Motel manager was rude during check out. His name is [...].

Close to destination. Right outside front gate of Crosswinds, older hotel but was fairly clean.

When we got to hotel, they wanted to give us smoking rooms. They blamed the travel agency for the mix up. We ended up with a non-smoking king bed room. My three children slept on floor. Thank God I had brought a sleeping bag with me. The owner offered to give me a cot, but I declined. I did not want a fight to see which child got the bed. We called for maintenance as soon as we got in room because air conditioner was not working. We left for Carowinds and hoped we would come back to a cool room. It had been 102 degrees that day. We came back to a room that was 85 or more. It never cooled off. I called and complained. A gentleman came and said everything was fine. Out in the hall, it was 50 degrees. We went from one extreme to the other. The I complained so much that the man brought up a stand up fan for our room. Fan was nice and appeared to look new. Room never got to a comfortable level. I woke up sweating all night. Breakfast the next day was a mess. Room was crowded and dirty. We had hardly no room to sit. Everyone was fighting over the waffle maker. We had to make our own. It was not very sanitary. We met a couple who asked us if we had honey bees in our room. They said honey bees were comming out of their air conditioner. I do not think we will stay at that hotel again.

Close proximity to area of personal interest. Staff. Staff was not unfriendly, but definitely not overly friendly. I was simply handed my room keys and that was it. I had to ask about the elevators, where I could park, entrances, etc.

My husband and I spent the night at Sleep Inn at Carowinds to ensure quick travel to the Charlotte Airport. The hotel was clean and a good value for the price. We checked in late and checked out early and the staff was helpful and accomodating in both instances. We would stay here again.

Our room did not have a refrigerator or microwave. Clean, but was not not provide a refrigerator and microwave. This is something that is needed when traveling with children.

Nice & clean rooms complimented with a well served continental breakfast. Great staff , always there when you need them. Outdoor pool is awesome, we will recommend everyone staying in fort mill/charlotte area to choose this hotel. this property has great rates and excellent service.

Built to cracker barrel restaurant. The shower was not cleaned well the air conditioner didn't work well. Nothing special, continental breakfast not set up efficiently everybody was clumped in one spot.

Booked 1 Bedroom Suite with whirlpool bath non-smoking. Upon arrival room smelled like smoke, carpets felt tacky/sticky, trash under the hide a bed, and tub bottom was stained. Room seemed a bit on the small size for the money and I would have liked a kitchenette but management did honor my request for a military discount. Television was on the floor which made viewing with the hide a bed open difficult. I've stayed at nicer hotels for less money.

Location. Noise. As a light sleeper, I am always disturbed by the other guests, who don't think that they can be heard as soon as they are in the corridor, and shout and/or slam doors. It comes with the hotel experience. But in our room, there seemed to be a "creaking floor" noise from above which kept me awake, and woke me early in the morning. I told the hotel about this and they did not reply to me. This complaint does not reflect my overall rating of the hotel, which is good, but as I told them, it needs to be looked at for the comfort of the future guests.

The lady at front deck very nice and polite. Everything. The rooms weren't clean; yelling kids in next room; vending machines only on first floor. Room very small and bathroom you couldn't turn around in and only a shower.

Very clean. Very Clean and friendly staff. We did not sleep very well due to a group of drunk people coming in at 2:00am, but I finally called front desk & complained. Staff did something because the people did quiet down some.

We stayed here with our teenage daughters and our babies We were loaned a nice clean porta-crib for babies room was clean some drunk came to our door late wish that they had better security will stay again next week

CIAA, weekend and the hotel did not jack up the price like the hotels in charlotte. No internet on the computer in the lobby. I was given a smoking room at check in, and was told it was all they had. The smell in the room was not bad and I stayed in the room 2 nights, it turned out to be fine. Other than that everything was great, and I will come back to this hotel.

It was a nice hotel and the staff were really friendly. This was a nice hotel for the price. It was very conveinent on and off the interstate and I will be planning to stay again in future trips. Plus the staff was very friendly and accomadating to our needs.
