Advantage staying in Acme vs. Traverse City is Price. The hotel was your standard hotel. Rooms are average, clean, no tub, microwave or frige in most rooms. Pool is ok (3" shallow end, 5" deep end). No extra towels inpools room though. Continental breakfast is better than some, no hot food, but good varriety of fresh fruit, yogurt, bread/muffin type items. Free coffee and tea 24H. Ample parking. Travel kiosk in lobby is nice. (next door is the Holiday in Express, which I have stayed at and liked better, nicer rooms and hot breakfast), but, it all boils down to price for me. How much time do you really spend in your room anyways?

View of bay is great but highway traffic may keep you up if you are a light sleeper. Very clean everything looked new except for the bedspreads. Bathroom small, toilet and shower w/pocket door. Sink in room. In room safe. Typical continental breakfast food. Great location if you plan to go to the casino. Out of the way if you plan to spend all your time in Traverse City.

We slept well. The young tall man was rude. When you drive as long as we did, the last thing you want to hear after you made reservations, is A room won't be ready till 4:30, we were completely booked yesterday. That was not our problem. Bad business.

"We found the hotel easily and it was close to where we were going. The staff was vey nice. The pool and whirlpool were open until midnight and the rooms were clean and had plenty of space. We did not like the shower only set up, it felt too crowded and the sink was in the actual room which was inconvient. But all in all we will stay there again."

The Sleep Inn Suites, ACME, MI was clean, comfortable and very close (yet in a quiet area) to Traverse City. We enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi (the hours were user friendly - very extended) and great breakfast. The staff was very helpful. The mattresses were super comfortable - extremely important to us. We loved the waffles at breakfast along with the eggs and regular fare. We will definitely go back again.

Clean and easy parking, good breakfast. Too expensive for what you got. The front desk person at no fault of her own was the only person working. She had to check people in answer questions and answer phone. It was too busy for just one person to be working. No information about the local area was in the room. The person working behind the desk was not dressed professional either.

Right on traverse bay, very pretty setting. Policy on drinking in the pool area. Very clean rooms and easy to find. However the policy on drinking in the pool area is not agreeable. After 10:00pm the pool area is reserved to adults, that is fine, however on a Friday night the hot tub area was overrun with about 20 people drinking beer and not making the area inviting to others.
