Booked mainly for the location since the main time spent there was just for sleeping. Got the 2 nites for a great price tho!

Staff was quick and friendly. The chair in the room had a tear. The Sleep Inn Newark was a located perfectly to the University of Delaware and downtown Newark. It is also about a one minute drive from I-95.
Date of Stay:
March, 2008
The room was clean and did not smell however, the hotel mixes smoking and non-smoking rooms on the same floor, adjacent rooms even. For those who don't smoke, well you know what this means. Shower was fine as was breakfast. Room was a bit noisier that I would have liked. Better separation of smokers would rate this hotel a "stay again".

Great value in a clean no frills hotel close to everything.

I arrived very late to a well lit parking area, the room was clean & easy to find. My stay was great, quiet and clean, I will stay again when I travel his area again.

No problems, nothing spectacular, just a good, clean, comfortable place to stay in a handy, safe location right across the street from UDel's stadium and sports complex, and a TGIFriday's next door.

I was very satidfied with the location and value.

Decent basic amenities. Understaffed at night. The Sleep Inn is not fancy, but if you need a basic and clean place to sleep, shower, and eat breakfast, it's just fine.

it was my first time in this hotel, it was excellent. the room was very clean. i recomend it.

Good location. Security and smell led like smoke, big time. I would not stay in this hotel again. Someone tried to open our door 6 times during the night. Luckily the chain was on the door. We should have called the front desk, but they would disappear quickly. The room smelled heavily of smoke with a burn hole in the bedspread that went through to the sheets below. Yuck! Why did we stay? We were tired and didn't feel like making a scene.

Decent value for an overnight stay, hotel staff very friendly and accomodating. Room linens needed replaced, full of holes. Room was clean, overall apperance was average. Breakfast items seemed like fast-food. Wouldn't stay again for more than 1 night.

No pool, no hot tub, limited exercise room. Clean, quite, close to whereI wanted to go well lite parking lot free news paper.

The Sleep Inn Newark is located right across from the main University of Delaware sports center. TGI Fridays is located a very short distance from the hotel. You would walk there. The room was spacious. The vanity area was outside of the bathroom. This was convenient so no one would take up too much time in the bathroom getting ready to leave the room. The room was very clean. The motel served continental breakfast in the morning, including juices, coffee, tea, muffins, bagels, waffles, etc. It was certainly a great value for the money. The room was genuinely smoke-free.

It was conveniently located. It was very loud no noise insulation (the hallway door did not even seal). The hotel was fairly well run, but the quality of the building was horrible.

Good location near University. Clean and reasonably priced. Good continental breakfast included.
