GOOD VALUE HOTEL BUT GET ROOM AT THE BACK AWAY FROM TRAFFIC NOISE!Room too noisy - even with windows closed. Also very warm even with windows open. Windows cant be fully opened for security so very narrow opening for fresh air. Not the hottest of days so would be a nightmare if a heatwave between noise and windows closed!? Unsightly rubbish outside room window on the roof of entrance patio. Didnt sleep until 6am so never got to sample breakfast!? Good shuttle bus to O2. Reception staff not over friendly or enthusiastic to meet or greet you or assist in basic requirements regards what is on offer at hotel and surrounding area!? Room reasonably clean. Bit shabby and needs updating. Bed covers some stains and a little drab. All brown!! Bathroom fine. Shower in bath ok. Water hot ok. Good enough hotel overall as long as you get room to the back of the hotel.

The place was nice. It was a bit far from the main area, but there is a bus stop right in front. It was worth it, though, because the place was quiet and relaxing.

We stayed at the Skylon hotel for 2 nights while seeing Westlife at Croke Park, it was a really nice hotel, and within walking distance to Croke Park and a short bus ride to the city centre. We would stay there again.

Best Northside location for Dublin CityThis hotel is an excellent location giving quick and easy access to city centre as it's on a main corridor bus route [that also goes directly to the Airport and motorways in the other direction].Local area has some great pubs, cafes, restaurants as well as convenience [fast] food. There are also local shops and a supermarket within a minutes walking distance.Parking is okay but a bit tight and fills up quickly, you may have to wait a while in the evening for someone else to leave so that you can get their space.Rooms are fine. Advise upgrading to an executive room if you can afford it or there's an offer as some of the standard rooms can be a little small.

We stayed at the hotel for only one night. However, it was a very pleasant stay. The hotel is just a 10-15 minute drive from the airport and Temple Bar (Dublin's main hotspot)

Excellent hotel for a city breakThe room was a fair size and booked through Laterooms an excellent price. It was clean with a smart ensuite, the only complaint was that the glass shower curtain wasn't water tight at the bottom, leaving large puddles over the bathroom floor. The beds were very comfortable and the room was a good temporature with fully opening windows.

Incredible StayThe rooms were incredible and it was so close to town that it barely cost us anything travelling, theres a bus stop just across the road that will bring u into town for under 2 euro. I'd have no problem staying there again.

Good clean accomodationGood clean accomodation, right on a major bus route and easily accesible into the city centre. We didnt use the hotel bar/restaurant so cant comment, theough plenty of other patrons were doing so.

The only little problem we had was that the heating was on 24/7 (we stayed at end of May) and there was no air conditioning in the room so it got quite stuffy, even with the windows wide open! The reception area is very impressive. I felt like i did not want to move from those comfy couches.

perfect for a night in dublinStayed here for 1 night, clean room, walls are paper thin though. Handy for taxi into town or to airport. Good bus connections. Couple of restaurants near by, try the cheese pantry across the road. Didnt eat in hotel.
