Skylark Shores Resort Lakeport

This beautiful motel is so unique in its park-like setting with so many wonderful large oak, walnut, and sycamore trees; different style buildings from the older cabins to the two story lakefront; and all enjoying the closeness to the largest natural lake in the state. Guests can enjoy a barbecue outside their room using the provided barbecue and picnic table some set under the tall trees. Or bring your boat, ample trailer parking available, launch it using the adjoining ramp, take a trip around the lake and tie it up at one of the three boat docks. But, the trip around the lake using your jet skis can also be a thrill, you see the picture? But our picture also needs to include the many rooms, each so different and so inviting. Each gives a different feeling. Returning guests year after year request their favorite rooms. In fact family reunions and weddings block off many rooms for their event. The proximity to town and so many activities makes this a popular resort. And, last but not least, there are things to keep every age busy i.e. outdoor playground equipment for the children, much like their school playground. The men can play bocci ball in the evenings. The motel is on the north end of the business of Lakeport. The town has the small town feel that is fun to stroll and window shop small shops with very helpful proprietors striving to please. The motel is located right on the lake and has three boat docks that get high use during the many fishing tournaments that are all year long. Fisherman are very welcome and do well catching bass, carp and so many other varieties. Boating is very popular as well as jet skis. Across the lake is the majestic Mt. Konocti with its ancient legends. The motel is within ten miles of two Indian Casinos. There are many concerts held, especially in the summer at a nearby park, local wineries and a very large concert venue as well.
