Casino was near. Pillows to hard. Hotel was fine. expensive mini bar. $7.00 for a small bottle of water. Darwin has no problems with their water and I thought that was ridiculous.

The hotel itself is just great. The seafood banquet at the sunset restaurant was poor. Probably the worst meal during our stay in the territory

We had a quick visit to Darwin and stayed at skycity. Overall stay was fantastic, staff very friendly and helpfull. Roomservice took a while to arrive but quality was good.

A superior stay in Darwin - great for an early morning or late-evening swim at Mindle Beach But don't bother with the Chinese restaurant - fatty and poor quality, you may as well be in Cooogeemalloo!

Turning down the beds and chocolates on the pillows was a nice touch. The staff were excellent and a bonus having free internet.

Closet thing to Paradise ever loved the hotel, beach, market, wildlife, room, view, dining, gambling and staff....no need to leave!

We have stayed here many times before, but usually in the superior garden rooms (ground floor). This time we stayed in a king room on the first floor. The difference is enormous, not just with what is in the room but also the view. The superior garden room has a huge verandah with table and 4 cane chairs, plus spa bath and more luxurious items. It overlooked a lovely garden area. The king room had a very small balcony with two plastic chairs and limited complimentary items. It overlooked the driveway and a drain. I guess if you are only staying one night then it doesn't matter too much, but if you are staying longer it is much better to pay that bit extra for a superior garden room.

I prefer to always stay at Skycity. They have all the facilities I can possibly want.

All services, facilities and location was excellent. One suggestion is to provide a portable clothes line or a line in the balcony for drying daily swimmers , underwear etc. This will be more practical as the weather is usually very hot and environmently friendly saving energy costs of running a dryer.

Thought the hotel was good but the location was a bit of a trek on foot to the centre of Darwin. Also at the weekend it became rather noisy with it being part of a casino. Staff very helpful though.

Hotel and amenities are great, however, service standard levels leave much to be desired. Staff are argumentative and unnecessarily defensive and do not appear to be trained to offer alternatives and use their own initiative; different options had to be suggested by myself. Problems are fobbed off as not being their area of responsibility and hotel guests are asked to contact obscure departments. Late check out was never given as an option; when checking out half an hour late we noticed an additional charge on our bill. This charge had not been brought to our attention in spite of constant harrassment to leave the room 2 hours prior to the official check out time.

Fantastic place to stay. Beautiful pool area. Kids could spent most of their time there. Good, reasonably priced buffet breakfast for guests. Can't wait to go back!!

Skycity made our stay in Darwin an experience we will cherish for a long time. The staff were efficient and friendly, the room was very well appointed and the pool and staff were excellent. If I was going to suggest any improvement I would suggest more staff at the pool at lunch hour, those poor people were run off their feet, but did it with a smile. I will certainly stay here again next time I am in Darwin.

Excellent hotel, just request not to have a room over the loading bay as was dreadfully noisy from early in the morning. The pool looking over Mindel Beach was the best we ever saw. Highly recommended to stay in

Totally recommend Skycity. Right next door to Mindil beach for the night markets held on Thursday and Sunday evenings. Handy stroll to Cullen Bay for a morning coffee at the Boardwalk cafe. Skycity is also a pick-up / drop-off point for the Tour-tub (hop-on / hop-off bus) plus a shuttle to Casuarina shopping centre and other services.
