We were disappointed that the hotel does not use the payment by bank card, for a 864 euro sum!. We were, of this fact hardly hampered(bothered) for the pursuit(continuation) of the holidays, given that the owner of the hotel required(demanded) the payment in cash of the first week of hotel. The continuation(suite) of the payment was made in the daytime of the departure, always in cash!.

While the hotel itself was clean and spacious and the room competitively priced, the location might be so bad that even value for money guests might struggle to see why anyone would stay there. We booked a room for 3 nights however we arrived on the first day and we ended up moving to another hotel. The surrounding area is very rough, the view from our window were 3 homeless people sleeping on the pavement, one of them face down. We decided that we felt unsafe especially if we had to go back there at night and therefore decided to move to a better area and pay up. Be ware mostly of the area and if that is not a problem them the hotel itself is ok.

After booking what we thought was the Hotel Siri, at the address listed above, we were taken upon arrival to another hotel, also just off the Piazza Garibaldi. It actually seemed a nicer hotel, once we arrived and checked in. (Can't find my receipt with the name just now.) Our stay was fine in that regard. The hotel we did stay at was nice for the price, with a nice lobby and public spaces, even a small balcony overlooking the street. Only problem was the activity out on the street. We had been forwarned and were prepared for the amount of illicit night-time activity that is anywhere around the train station area of Naples after dark, but not quite the number of outright working ladies, and subsequent fights with their gentlemen/employers. After I went to sleep, my husband heard a huge gunshot and the next day we heard on the news that a body was found in a dumpster in that area. SO....our one night in Naples was pretty unforgettable from that standpoint, though we were only there overnight, en route to Sorrento the next day. During the day, Naples was hustle-bustle, with street-vendors and tourists, nothing too outrageous, but they've really got to crack down on that night-time situation, what with so many stopping over on the trains for destinations further down the coast or up to Rome. I can't believe the city officials in Naples aren't more aware of how much revenue they're probably losing due to this type of impression being made on tourists. It was as if nobody at all was policing those streets after 9pm. And although the place they did send us was fine as far as the actual accomodation for the price, the last minute switch to a different hotel was pretty un-nerving, with a young man taking us on a trek completely around the Piazza and down another side street. The young man was helpful and efficient in taking us there, but I began to wonder if we were being taken off someplace in a dark alley to get robbed. I can only guess that maybe

we had a great time in Naples, with the help of Siri staff and Siri owner, Massimo, a great italian that helped us feel so comfortable that we wouldn't have left the hotel anymore. Hotel is very good for the money and perfectly situated, in the heart of Naples. Go there on your own or with children, no problem. Staff is friendly and extremely helpful. Big lobby, bar, everything. Will certainly return.

Simpático y pequeño hotel situado en el centro de Napoli, muy cerca de la Stazione Centrale, desde donde hay todas las facilidades para moverte a cualquier punto de la ciudad

Difficult to find in the beginning, but just take Umberto via, from Garibaldi Place, and it's second street on the left. Strategically ubicated, near buses, trains and trams. Good coffee and "sweet" breakfast.

Very nice staff. Neighbourhood looks a little rough in the night. Staff talked very little english, and I couldn't pay by credit card. But they were overall helpful! The room was excellent! Clean and spacious, good air conditioning. Easy to find from the central station.

Siri was a fairly nice experience for us. The room was very large, clean, and quiet. The staff was fine, though no one spoke English. The hotel is very close to the train station, restaurants, and shopping which was good. Our only complaint was the breakfast. Pretty poor quality and the breakfast room itself was depressing. However there was a very nice cafe around the corner on Corso Umberto with excellent pastries and coffee.

The hotel is exactly what you would expect for the money and was clean. The staff were rather rude an unhelpful. But the major negative point was the location. It is surrounded by dirty markets, sex shops and the area at night is very bad with good chance of crime.

The hotel is in a bad part of town which is anywhere near the train station. The breakfast was horrible & consisted of packaged toast & a packaged croissant. Only good part is the cappuccino. No one speaks English! If you have a problem, they have to call someone to translate. The rooms DON’T contain a minibar. We had to put our stuff in a shared refrigerator (75% of the goods where gone when we came back). Our room had a view of the hotel’s storage area. The lift starts at the 2nd floor. This hotel should be listed as barely a 2 star.

The surroundings seem to be a little deserted, so bewar if you arrive at night. Directions from the train station where not clear enough from the Venere web page, although it is close to it. Look in a map before going

We enjoyed staying at Hotel Siri. The management/employees were very nice and helpful. Our room was clean the the view from our balcony was absolutely beautiful. The price vs. quality was definitely worth it. We would stay at Hotel Siri again if we were to visit Perugia.

No fancy place, but a good hotel that offers value. The beds were excellent - after a long train trip that really mattered. The surroundings are not too nice, but the place seems to be far better than a lot of others in the railway station area. And it's also a good starting point for sightseeing in the city, but also beyond.

Very nice hotel, except for the surrounding district. Very good service: as it was too early to serve us breakfast on the day we left, they let us have access to the breakfast room so that we could have something to eat before catching our train
