| Certainly is a fine location, although this is definitely NOT a 4-star hotel. Extremely run down facilities. We stayed in a "deluxe" hillside bungalow, which was OK, but you'd expect the aircon to work right? Our visit was in May, so it was very hot.
Staff replaced freon in air con, which only fixed the problem for a few hours. We awoke around 5 am drenched in sweat. Staff returned to replace freon again, but we said "forget it," and went to request a move to another bungalow.
At the front desk they wanted to move us to a bungalow farther up the hill that did not have a sea view. However, they refused to give us any discount for the less-desirable room and after spending most of our time fussing around with air-con issues.
Result: we canceled the remainder of our reservation
The resort is isolated as well, which means you'll be stuck eating at their dreadful restaurant.
Avoid at all costs, since there are so many better options available down the road in Khao Lak. |
