Nice hotel but pity about the serviceThe hotel was fine but the service was very poor. On two occasions we wanted to get a drink from the bar or a coffee from thier shop and there was no one there to serve us. It was also quite a distance from the old town of Malaga, which is better for tourists if that is what you are using the hotel for.

The general aspect of the hotel and the service cannot be faulted. We stayed for one night at the end of our holiday because of the close proximity of Malaga railway station (only a couple of minutes walk away.) The accommodation notes said that non-smoking rooms were available and we requested such room when we booked some months ago. We were given a room which smelt heavily of smoke. We were then given another room on a floor which stated it was non-smoking, this confirmed by the hotel. No sign in the room though and it proved to be another room which again smelt of smoke. It spoilt the night's sleep for both of us and the smell was quite over-powering. If you are a non-smoker watch out for this. A shame, the hotel itself was most enjoyable

This was not a 4* hotel in the sense we would expect in the UK, but the staff were welcoming and helpful and the breakfast we had in the downstairs cafe on our departure day was both enjoyable and good value. The room however was a little tired and the air conditioning was pretty much ineffective - the hotel we stayed at two days later (Monte Malaga) is just around the corner and is every bit the 4* hotel this one failed to be.

The food was surprisingly good, although you felt like you were eating in a corridor. The staff in the restaurant were excellent while the reception staff were quite aloof. It was ideally placed for the train to and from the airport and when the building work opposite finishes it will make a big difference. Nice shopping centre a few minutes walk (in the same building as the new train station) where you can get breakfast or lunch. Nice little coffee shop in supermarked directly opposite front door of hotel.

this hotel is excellent for a short stay in malaga and even though it's a good way from the city center get a transport map and you'll see that lots of buses pass by at all times and the fare is only 1 euro.

good ocation adjacent to train station. Hipercor right next door.20 minute wal to port and Castle. 15 minute walk to Shopping area.
