Convienient to work OK place to stay

The front desk staff was very nice and accommodating. My room smelled, the blanket had stains on it and the tub was stained and very old - not appealing. The lobby area was nice. The staff for the most part was friendly and helpful. The rooms were not in the best condition and had an odor.

The room was nice and other then the smoke detecter going off a few times during breakfast (someone i think was burning toast) it was a semi-enjoyable time. The breakfast was not what the site said it was going to be, it was only cereal and english muffins. The desk staff seemed to be somewhat knowlegable of service dog laws, so that was good. The location to the highway was very nice and their was places to eat all around the hotel within walking distance.

The hotel stay was awful. We reserved a non-smoking room and their was ashes everywhere, the linen smelled dirty. The bathroom was nasty as if nobody had cleaned it in weeks. The staff was not nice or friendly.

Coffee pot, refrigerator and microwave in the room. Filthy - had bugs. This was regrettably a poor experience. The room was unclean - ants were present in my actual room-shower was dirty and carpet was littered with cigarette burns. Not only were the amenities woefully inadequate such only about 10 TV channels, continental breakfast was cereal, stale bread and crushed English muffins. I have not stayed in hotel that was less friendly. I will not be staying there again.

The hotel was surrounded by other nice hotels. It felt very safe. Easy to find - not far from the highway. The indoor pool was large and warm. Free breakfast also. The room had a refrigerator, microwave, and other extras. It cost a little more than the bargain hotels, but was worth it.

Hotel was run-down. Lobby rug was lumpy. Everything was dark. Rug in room was stained. Breakfast was cereal and toast on foam plates. Fire alarms kept going off. No one answered the phone at the front desk. Skip this hotel.

No information in the room at all, pool times, location, fitness Room, Location.... Let's just exploer.... Vaccume would be nice touch, Clean pool, also would be nice. Cold cold cold, to get back to room from swimming.

The Manager was friendly and helpful than the staff person who waited on me. The staff person wanted to put us on the 2nd floor, they did not have an elevator. The hotel was not full I think he could have done a better job. The bath rooms were not clean , toilet and bath tub was dirty. Had to change rooms we had did not have hot water, but they did move us to a different room.

We stayed at this hotel for one night. We basically only slept in the room. It was ok and was very convenient to the fairgrounds (which is where we were going). I would stay here again.

The Signature Inn in Springfield, IL was not a terrible place to stay. Cleaninliness, was not an issue in terms of rooms being nasty but the place itself looked a little shady and the rooms reeked of smoke. There were some sheet rock patches in the hall that were incomplete and look trashy. Overall a cheap bed if you are just staying one night in Springfield on the way to Chicago.

Nice building, It was great during 80's but now look tired hotel, need a rehabs. Cigarette burns on carpet, old furnitures, hard bed and flat pillows.

"I have never been more disappointed in a hotel than I was here. The room was filthy. When I complained, I was told by the front desk people that the rooms aren't cleaned during your stay, only after you check out. The spider I killed on the bathtub stayed there. The carpets are stained and covered with lint and dirt. No sweeping during my stay.. Should have trusted the other reviewers. I highly recommend that you choose a different place. There's a security problem, the back door doesn't close all the way and outsiders can enter without a key."

The Signature Inn Springfield, Springfield, IL was very comfortable and spacious but the rooms are in need of updating but overall were nice. Our room had a recliner, king bed, desk & Tv and was not cramped. The bathroom sink was separate from the rest of the bathroom. vanity was small and the area for hanging clothes was a amoir/tv stand. The location was close to the interstate and close to several family style restaurants. Check in was easy and the staff was friendly. Overall worth the money.

The bed was comfortable. The receptionist was rude and could not speak English very well, the shower had mold on the tiles. The experience was not very good, I would not care to stay in this hotel ever again.

For the money that we paid, this was a very nice hotel and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived an hour before the offical check in time, but were still able to get a room. The breakfast was decent, but not fantastic (Much better than some hotels that just throw out pre-packaged doughnuts). The location was convenient and it was easy to get off and back onto Interstate 55.
