Surely the best place to stay in Bikaner is Shri ram... ! We had a great time there and wish We could have stayed longer.We have just returned from a 7 week at the Shri ram haritage hotel in bikaner.. The hotel is magnificent and we have never experienced such incredible service before. It was so lovely that it was hard to drag ourselves away from the hotel to go to the forts,palaces,temples parks ec at all. In fact we didn't bother with , having been before and just did a few trips to market. It was so hot pollution and busy there, we couldn't wait to get back to the peace and tranquility of the hotel. We stayed on the 2ed floor Luxary haritage rooms(royal rooms)with its own balcony different food presentations are laid out each day. We were just expecting a few nibbles but breakfast is a lovely continental spread with cheeses fruit pastries etc. During the afternoon it's literally like tea at the Ritz in London . Quite difficult to fit in any meals out after all that! The roof & living room is lovely, not as big as the harasar havaily nearby but more luxurious. Our four friends also enjoyed it. , For sun bath laying out 2 towels per sun lounger, with one rolled up as a head rest. Restaurants are great. yogendra, is very smart and we dined at his family dinning room for our daughter's birthday. They even printed a special menu wishing her a happy birthday. We paid $32 per night for a room which we thought excellent value. And the owner offered us free meal as we stayed for seven weeks There were 3 double rooms so the six of us shared. Overall I would say this is probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in on holiday and I am extremely fussy! Perhaps not the most convenient if all you want to do is forts & palaces, parks, but if you want to mix a little luxury with the odd trip to the home stay then this is an absolute must .This place is run by Retired Brigadier and his family. They have rooms from Rs 400 to 1500 three catagories rooms .they even have cheaper and clean good value of money small rooms in the back in new building. • Liked — its family run place and owner stays there and keep the rooms sparkling neat & clean • Disliked — only two of the staff new english ,they should add more people who can speak english . celine
