Good hotel for the price, good location, good service, good food, friendly staff and casion workers.

The entertainment venue had a show that I wanted to see. The room was dirty, near an elevator, and cigarette smoke kept pouring into the room through the ventilation system. I've stayed in better rooms.

The Showboat caters more towards "club" members. Upon arriving, the valet attendant asked me what 'color' my club card was. I don't gamble regularly, so I had no idea what he was talking about - and he offered no explanation. The check-in desk was also spearated by club card color with no apparent desk for non-club members. We had to go to the information desk to find out what line to stand in. The service at the casino bar was almost as bad as I have ever seen. Getting a drink was a waiting game. I expected food/beverage prices to be somewhat higher than normal, but I was stunned by the gouging going on. For example, the price of a single draft budweiser was considerably more than I pay for a pitcher of premium beer at my local pub. They have a limited restaraunt offering during the week, and I couldn't get anyone to suggest off-property dining choices. The casino is huge and offers a very good selection of slot machines, but I don't like to play slots. The first night, they only had two craps tables open, and they were full - I actually gave up trying to gamble the first night (their loss). On the positive side, we did get a good waitress at breakfast in the Mansion Cafe (but only one day.). The room was very nice, but the pillows were awful (That might be a little nit-picking, but waking up with a stiff neck every morning. Overall, I had much higher expectations for this hotel, so I probably wouldn't stay there again.

We enjoyed the parades. The slot machines didnt pay out like they use too. We enjoyed the French Quater Buffet but was disappointed it wasnt open on Thursday.

It had a good gambling floor. The food was awful! Cesar's made my boyfriend very ill. Showboat food just wasn't good. The room smelled like smoke. The food was awful! At Cesar's Game on restaurant made my boyfriend became very ill from the grilled chicken sandwich. At the Showboat, where we stayed, the food just wasn't good. The room smelled like smoke, which I wasn't expecting because the lobby didn't smell like smoke nor did the hall way leading to our room.

i've read some of the other reviews and people being unreasonable about losing their room. it clearly states if you don't arrive by 8pm, your room may be given away... you should probably learn to read first. our room was great, very clean, very nice. we had a great time.

This was my first time staying at an AC hotel on the Boardwalk, when we walked the Boardwalk we got a chance to check out some of the other Hotels and I am glad I chose the Showboat. The Staff was friendly and patient (I am a first timer and needed to be shown the ropes). The atmosphere is relaxed yet fun. The have the House of Blues Restaurant and Concert Hall, and a carnival type show on the Casino floor several times a day. When we retreated to our room, everything was quiet, clean and spacious. My only grips are that the pool hours end at 6pm on Sun and most of the nicer restaurants in the Hotel are closed on Mondays. As a point of reference I liked this Hotel better then the Borgata, which is decorated nicely, but the staff seemed stuffy.

The atmosphere was great and everyone was very friendly. Nothing, we were satisfied. The hotel is older but kept in great shape. No real complaints. Harrah's Showboat is a lively hotel and casino. We arrived on Saturday evening and were able to catch the live Mardi Gras parade through the casino. It was fun, got people dancing, clapping, and smiling. While this hotel is older it has been maintained very well. It is clean, colorful, and attractive. The staff was great! They were friendly, helpful, and you never had to search for someone to assist you. We only spent one night but we are already making plans to go back!

We were happy with this hotel...only had one problem and that was us normal folk with a "gold" rewards comp card were treated MUCH different then the folks who spend lots. It was realllly obvious. But we did have a great time and will go back again.

It was at the far end of the strip. The average age of guest staying there is like 90. Which is fine except I am 27. There is a shuttle that will take people down to ceasars. We had friends that were staying at the Tropicana and there rooms were not as nice and more expensive. They were simply paying for location. All and all a nice visit. Clean rooms and great service.

Bathroom in the room was very nice. Amenities were few and far between. Nothing was available. Not what we expected of a larger casino hotel. Pool was unavailable except on weekends. Very understaffed throughout the week. Restaurants were not very good.

We have stayed at three different hotels on the boardwalk in Atlantic city and were dissatified with the first two. We decided to try the Showboat and were pleasantly surprised. Rooms were nice, clean and service was good. everything from valet service to housekeping went well.

We spent a lot of time in the casino, this was our first trip to AC and it was fun.

Very nice marble bathroom, spacious tub. House of Blues restaurant had terrible service, and we sent a dish back. A little far from the majority of boardwalk attractions, and you have to pass quite a few homeless people begging along the way. Otherwise a great value, especially in the summertime.

I thought the rooms were quite pricey for the quality of the room. Stains on the carpet and molding missing from the doors. Big disappointment. Room was overpriced. Stains on the carpet and molding missing. Air condition did not work well in the room. Had to pay for parking.
