Great place to stayWe have stopped in Scarborough several times and sometimes ended up in some rubbish guesthouses, then we discovered 'shorehouse'.What a place, the owners,Steve and Zoe have done a fantastic job of renovating this lovely old property. They have kept the original character but have added quality modern fittings. We stopped in the luxary double room with ensuite, which was spotless. The breakfast was great, lots of choice.Shorehouse is located in a really nice street which is just a 10 min stroll to the town.We will certainly be stopping there again in the future.Cheers Adam & Jules,Halifax

modern, spotless and relaxingThius is one of the best B and Bs I have ever stayed in. It has been open for a year, completely refurbished and stylishly modern in a large Victorian house with the original charm retained. The room I took was the luxury double, which is very spacious, light and comfortable.Breakfast is healthy and yummy.Better than any equivalent price hotel room, for sure.

Great B&BHad a 4 night break in Scarborough staying at this stylish and contemporary B&B. Stayed in the luxury double which was very spacious and comfortable. Accomodation generally of a very high standard with great attention to detail and a lovely relaxing atmosphere. The owner was very attentive and helpful and provides lots of useful information on places to visit and where to eat. We can particularly recommend the nearby Italian restaurant, Tuscany Too, which is just a few minutes walk away. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Location is good being close to Esplanade with lovely views over the cliffs and down to the harbour and beach. Nice walks down to spa and beach but be prepared for some exercise! Town centre about 20 mins walk away and local shops close by. Ample on street free parking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and exploration of the coastline and nearby resorts of Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay and Bridlington and beautiful scenery and villages of the North Yorks Moors. This was a refreshing and welcome break.

Excellent Boutique GuesthouseFurnishings and decor of a high standard. The double room we occupied had an ensuite module built in which did reduce the size of the room, but it was still acceptable size. The ensuite itself was very well fitted out and when inside you were not aware it was an inroom module. Could park on the road outside without problem and Scarborough itself was walkable. Good breakfast

This guesthouse was decorated to a very high standard. We stayed in the duluxe room which had a fabulous bed. Freeview tv and a sofa. Owner was very helpful and parking was available free of charge. It is about 15 mins work to town and 20 mins to main sea front.

A modern quality hotel which is a welcome change to the norm for Scarborough. The area does have a reputation for down market type hotels and B&B's (i used to live in the area), but this one was brill and would defo use it again. Just a shame that the Freeview player in the room received a poor signal - so we watched X-Factor on terrestrial instead. The room facilities, quality of bedding, furniture was all spot on and made our stay all that more enjoyable. The Landlady does have great taste. The bed was one of the comfiest i had ever slept in - v v nice. Andrew & Andy - Cheltenham
