Shogetsu Grand Hotel Sapporo

Shogetsu Grand Hotel is an established ryokan hotel opened in 1934.
A total of 58 guestrooms are facing toward the valley of Toyohira-river and enjoy surrounding views which change from season to season.

There are numerous on-site facilities including the lounge in which you can relax around the fire place, the library with various books about local and surrounding Hokkaido information, the gallery for paintings and ceramics by the local artists, the souvenir shop with specialty goods in the Jozankei region and hotel original goods, a Japanese restaurant with delicious meals as well as the Japanese-modern style room, gpremier suitesh, in which you can feel the warmth of wooden materials, and the guestrooms in which you can experience total relaxation.

Our onsen spa is our crowning feature. You can enjoy the pure hot spring which is not recycled (the original temp 75Ž). The common spa looking over the stream in the hotel has a big wooden floor made from yellow cedar. There is also a unique steam bath using the steam from the onsen resource. This sauna helps you sweat without stressing your skin and those who do not like the normal sauna find it rather refreshing. Aesthetic salon is newly available at the same floor with the common spa.

Take the Joutetsu bus number 12 for the Jozankei-onsen from the bus terminal at JR Sapporo Station, and get off the bus at Jozankei-jinja (shrine). The travel time is about 70 minutes, the hotel is located right in front of the bus stop.

There is also a free shuttle service available from Sunday till Thursday. The shuttle departs from the Sapporo Park Hotel, which is about a minute walk from Nakajima Koen (park) Station. You can go to Nakajima Koen (park) Staion from Sapporo Station via Nanboku Metro Line, 5 minutes ride).
