The Shiny Paua Motels and B&B (formerly the Montecillo Lodge) is a large character building over 100 years old lovingly restored to her former glory. The front of the building was added on in 1970, but as you enter the building there is the original beautiful staircase in keeping with the existing features of rimu wood throughout the building.
The separate motel units are within the grounds with plenty off street parking.
Breakfast and meals available from our grand dining room which is loaded with information on New Zealand and what to do in Southland. Local art is also on display.
