This was our second stay at this hotel. Even though the circumstances for this stay was less than great the hotel itself was very good. The price along with the ammenities, including the hot breakfast bar was supurb. The restaurant down stairs serves some great food and the view of the Snake River while you are eating is very enjoyable.

The hotel is redoing all the rooms and we got one that was just finished and it was super. Most everything in the room was new and clean. We weren't bothered by the staff working on the other rooms. We went for an over night swimming trip. The pool was in great shape and clean. The kids had a blast swimming several times aday.

I am always on the road with my job so I do try to save money. Great hotel for the price. The king rooms were large and had a recliner chair that was very unexpected. I did request a room with refrigerator to keep my water bottles cold. The breakfast was served in their restaurant and it was a served meal and free. The restaurant for dinner was great but it is english food if you like that sort of thing. Staff was wonderful. I think it is a great bargain for what you get.

Large room, friendly staff, breakfast was good, much better than most "free" breakfasts. The location is great - right along the Snake River with a great view of the LDS Temple. The room was a little dated but clean and served our needs very well.

We stayed at this hotel twice on the same trip after having a good experience the first night. We stayed in a mini suite and there was plenty of room for relaxing and dining. The beds were very comfortable. Room service is EXCELLENT - the food arrived hot and there was real silver and cloth napkins! There was a good selection of healthy offerings (including fresh fruit as an option for the kids) and the prices were very reasonable. If you order dessert, prepare to share (generous portions and very yummy!). Breakfast was very good, as well; much better than the usual donut and bagel offerings. My only complaint would be that the hotel needs some updating in the bathroom area. There seems to be a slight mildew issue. The pool area was nice and the kids had a great time swimming.

We had excellent rooms, very clean and very very spacious with enough room for an army to camp out in. The staff was curteous and gave us easy to follow directions to the airport. We would stay there again without any hesitation.

This was my first trip out west (I'm from the South), and I gotta say, it was great!!! Just a couple hours from Yellowstone. The staff were great. So friendly and so helpful. If I return, I know where I'll be staying!!

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Great room and service for the money. Pillow top mattresses made beds really comfortable. Close to downtown and resteraunts and major streets. Indoor pool and spa was a great plus as well. Also had a nice buffet for Thanksgiving dinner.

I reservied a river view room. When I arrived, the clerk checked me in without a comment regarding the room. When I got to the room, I discovered that I did not have a river view room as I had requested and paid for in advance. When I returned to the desk, I was told that a computer problem had shown more river view rooms than they actually had available. There were none left at that time, and I had made my reservations two weeks in advance. The clerk did not know what to do, so I insisted that the clerk have the manager of the hotel call me about refunding the difference in the room rates. The manager stated that she didn't know how to do it but that she would find out on Monday and refund the difference. When I returned home from vacation I found that my account had not been credited, and this was one and a half months later. When I called online customer service the manager of the hotel wanted to refund a portion of the difference rather than the full amount, but I was able to resolve the issue through the customer service representative. While at the hotel, we ate in the restaurant. We had to return some of the food, because it was not hot. They were understaffed. The computer was available on Friday evening, but it was not working on Saturday morning, and the clerk on duty did not know how to fix it. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

There is supposed to be no smoking in the hotel, so the front walk is littered with cigarette butts. Also the room smelled liike smoke and B.O. Very noisy all night long

It was a wonderful place, except the ice machine on the 2nd floor had no ice the whole weekend

I had my Dog with me, she kept going into the bathroom and then jumping up on the door which locked it, maintenance would come immediatetly to let her out They were always so nice about it.

Handicap accessible rooms were on the 3rd floor and quite a distance from their dining room. Best thing about the hotel was the large size of the rooms. Pool was a bit chilly. Buffet breakfast is our biggest complaint - not much variety offered and not very tasty. Check in/Check out was a bit slow as they only have one person at the front desk - though that person was very nice.

easy to find from airport, friendly, clean, all I needed was there

It is a nice hotel. The staffs are friendly. The location is perfect. We particularly enjoyed the calorful autumn scenic view right out of the window. The snake river is yards away while the wildlife preserve island is just nearby. The canada geese and gulls swim or fly around the spot. I certainly would like to recommend to my friends, though the maintenence of the sauna facilities needs better keepup.

The best thing about the Shilo Inn is the location. It is right off the freeway and close to several restaurants, gas stations and a Walmart. The hotel is on the bank of the Snake River. There is a paved walking path along the river and my kids loved the walk. They fed the ducks and geese bread and didn't want to leave. The hotel room is a very good size and has a refrigerator. The four of us were very comfortable in the room. The pool area is nice with a fairly large pool, spa, steam room and sauna. Only complaint was the freezing cold pool. Breakfast was a good value with fruit, pastries, toast, bagels and a small variety of hot foods also. Overall, we were very pleased with this hotel.
