Just a very plain rooom - no window (except to stairs). Breakfaast was quick; was supposed to be a non smoking room, but clearly no the case.

The Inn has been in Bend for a number of years and is getting a little worn, but clean. We soon learned that our reasonably priced King Bed Suite was not a suite. It was one room with a small table and two chairs. The front desk arranged a staff member to show us around at other units for possible future selections. They have may combinations, sizes, and some on the river. If you look at their web site, you can get an idea of the offerings. The included buffet breakfast was good and had a nice selection of items to chose from.

While the renovated rooms we occupied were excellent, the rest of the facility seemed very dated. Reception desk staff on duty Sunday evening were very friendly, but should have been teamed with more professional peers. Facilities with outdoor room entries are normally rejected out of hand. Only the location of this facility relative to our business activities kept it under consideration. The fitness center was especially lacking for a facility of this size. The property would do well to facilitate the use of nearby public fitness facilities. We were able to locate these using the Internet, but it would have been better to find what we needed in the room guide.

The location was very convenient and easy to find. The staff was great and helpful. A free hot breakfast was included each morning and it was outstanding. The price was reasonable and we were very pleased. I rented 3 rooms for the family and it was a great experience. The beds were VERY comfortable. We ate at the restaurant one evening and the food and prices were good.

WELL, for starters after reading the other reviews i was rather surprised with the comments because i noticed quite the opposite on my last recent stay at the Shilo Inn. With such a large family they accomedated us rather well. We found that the 3 rooms we had were in different areas and asked if we could have them closer under the cirrcumstances of our stay and they were reluctant to adjust the locations of our rooms. When I called for room service/guest service, the service was rather quick. I feel they provided excellent customer service. And the property location was fantastic! That, being my first time in Oregon, i was pleased with the outcome of my stay and I will definately be returning.

We have two sisters who live in Bend, Oregon. We (my sister & I) flew to Bend and stayed at the Shilo Inn Suites for our annual Sisters Reunion! It was beautiful there and we had a room overlooking the Deschutes River, which was so peaceful and tranquil! We relaxed and visited and enjoyed ourselves for 5 days! The staff at the Shilo were very quick to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed! We definitely will stay there again!

We traveled to Bend for Medical purposes. Our stay was great and question we had was quickly @ completely answered. The room was beautiful and oh so clean. The breakfast room was great as was the selection of food. We have stayed there two times since.

I over all was not happy with my stay. As a women traveling alone I was uncomfortable with the sercurity. No inside privacy locks. I had very poor lighting in my room, no over head lights. The cleaning service did not do a good job, did not even show up one day. When I called the front dest to complain they offered clean towel if needed & said they would note it. When I asked to upgrade my room I was shown a room that took a long dark walk down a outdoor walk way to get to. I would have had to park quite aways from my room. I decined my room. The Hot tubs were not working... something a found out after going after trucking down to the indoor pool building. The hot tubs were my main reason for using the Shilo. Room service was poor... pizza arriving cold and 1 hr late. On a good note I found the staff was very friendly & the fireplace in the room was nice.

The room was very dark, and very small, in a bad location, they had rooms over looking the water but everyone seem to be put in these rooms close to the road, and the beds really lumpy bad, and the bathrooms are like being in your RV. So just drive by there are alot of Hotels in Bend.

it was the most expensive room on our entire trip and the worst. although it was non-smoking it hadn't been for long. the bathroom door lock was broken and it was terribly outdated and not very clean.

Even though some rooms are located near the street, the river out the back makes for a quiet stay. Very good hot breakfast included in price, but opening at 7 a.m. makes it difficult to make an early start after eating.

When we arrived after a 12 hour drive we just wanted to get to our room and get something to eat, then crash! The conierge was a little high maintenance when we asked for directions to our destination for the next morning. We ended up mapping it ourselves when we got to the room. The room had some things that were broken or missing. We ordered room service and just beware - they tack their own tip on the bill then suggest that you can leave them more if you want to. The food was not so great. We were given a "free breakfast" ticket for the following morning. Although it said the restaurant opened at 7am, this was not the case. Since we were on a tight schedule we did not have the luxury of waiting for them to open, so we ended up going thru a drive-thru (yuck!). I don't think we'll be staying here again.

The Shilo Inn in Bend is a great place to stay, we like the proximity to Mt. Bachelor as we go there to ski. The rooms are quiet and pleasant, the staff very friendly and they have a hot complimentary breakfeast buffet style, potatoes, eggs, pancakes or french toast, fruit, juice and coffee/tea. The Inn is situated in a pleasant natural setting. Loved our stay there.

Housekeeping won't do dishes, but only a drainer pan was provided, no dish drainer and a miniscule sink. Silverware was inadequate. 8 knives (none matching), 2 forks, 3 spoons, The room sleeps four, but we had 5 plates, 2 salad plates and 4 bowls. No TV Guide to even know what channels were available Only 1 coffee filter was provided, but two packets of coffee There was no dishcloth, we ended up using a bath wash cloth Floor was dirty under chairs in living room There was popcorn between the blanket and the bedspread Trash was not dumped on a daily basis. You have a program to conserve resources, but changed towels daily, even when we hung them up as requested Wireless internet service was not always available and had a very weak signal. Had to call for maid service (finally arrived at 4:30) they were in the room less than 10 minutes and it is no wonder there was debris under chairs as housekeeping only vacuumed the middle of the room. There was debris on the kitchen floor (sport bottle cap and popcorn) under cabinets. A spill inside a cabinet had not been cleaned. Continental breakfast was provided but was not always available at 7:00 as advertised. One day, a female worker spilled a basket of butter packets on the floor, she picked them up, put them back in the basket and set the basket next to the waffle maker. The butter was also not cold. Overall the stay was very disappointing for the price paid. This information will also be posted to the travel websites.

We have stayed at the Shilo Inn in Bend OR several times and have always received the same great service. The room and bath are very clean and comfortable, the location is great, it is quiet and very comfortable. There are several great restaurants within a couple of blocks which are very family oriented. We will make this our favorite destination in the future.

"Reserved a suite, got a single room. Staff explained they don't really have any suites. Gnats and spiders in our room, and a beetle-like bug in the bed when we woke up. Complained to corporate and was told ""suite"" no longer means two rooms. (Also gave me dictionary definition of ""suite"".) Also told bugs and spiders are ""commonplace"" in summer along the river."

Quiet place next to the Deschutes River, with direct walking access to a scenic trail, yet within a few minutes' drive from all the major shopping and dining. Great value for a mid-winter visit. Nice pool. Rooms comfortable. Pleasant setting among trees, with no highway noises.

The Bend Shilo Inn was very warm and welcoming! I loved the fireplace! The room was very cozy and comfortable. The kitchenette did not have spoons, dish soap or other means of cleaning up after yourself. Otherwise, GREAT STAY!
